I wouldn't deny the fact that this inflation in my country is affecting me badly because what we are buying cheaper has now turned into what we can't afford anymore. Meanwhile I have children I must take care of which means I have no reason not to buy things despite their high price.

My daughter wouldn't eat any local food because I didn't give it to her when she was little, so now she is used to intercontinental dishes, which are quite expensive to get nowadays due to the inflation in the country.
Don't blame me, as a mother I want the best for my children so I thought that giving them foreign food would help their growth and they wouldn't feel bad when they go out to eat something like that.
The money we used for foodstuffs last year is not enough to buy one-week foodstuffs this year, I wonder why the price keeps adding up every day.
In my country people have this bad behavior, whenever things get expensive they wouldn't want it to come down to the initial price because of the gain they are seeing on the items.
Last month, my husband gave me #20,000 to stuck the kitchen because of our children who would eat to school, when I got to the market it was as if those market women had done a meeting to sell the goods at the same price, and then I keep pricing items up and down the market until I got tired, I didn't have a choice than to buy the expensive things.
Before, I always went to the market with a big sack to carry those foodstuffs, but now only one nylon would carry #20,000 foodstuffs. When I got home and dropped the nylon my husband asked what happened to the rest of the food I told him that was everything.
He thought I kept out of the money, so we had a deal that he would buy this month's foodstuffs by himself to make sure I didn't take out of the money.
Last week, he got home with the same nylon and he began to lament how he walked all around the market without seeing cheap items to buy, I laughed at him because he didn't even know how to price things, so he bought foodstuffs twice the amount I would have bought it.
I wouldn't deny how bad this inflation of a thing is affecting everyone in my country because, lately my friends and even my family are complaining about how expensive foodstuff is in their areas, well I just hope this gets better and everything should be back to normal like it used to be before.
I saw the news that the dollar rate is now coming down but yet things keep getting more expensive here in Nigeria we all don't understand what is happening anymore, after all, the dollar controls every item price here even the ones we manufacture by ourselves.
Well, like I said before we all only wish for the country to get better so that it would be convenient for everyone to live in and have peace of mind.
