It's really exciting to read research about Music. As a music lover, I love learning more about music, so lately I have been reviewing multiple scientific studies on music almost every day and I share the most interesting ones with you here.
Wherever you are, at a party, celebration, or club, the rhythm of music often moves our bodies. Especially in some music, we can't help but dance. Even though I'm not a good dancer, I get caught up in the rhythm of the music and find myself dancing. Normally, I thought that boosting the bass would increase our desire to dance, but in a study, scientists say that dropping the bass will make us dance more.
Researchers from Canada and Germany conducted a study to find out how different qualities of music affect the body. In the research, a live electronic music concert was turned into a laboratory study. And they measured the audience's movements by turning very low frequency speakers on and off and using motion capture. And they found that when the bass was dropped, audience dancing increased by 12%. Although the rate is not very high, this is a really interesting study because it says that boosting the bass will not boost our dancing. Frankly, I love music very much and my body moves involuntarily while listening to music, as a result, this is a reaction of my body to the music I listen to. Also, even though I can't dance very well, some music boosts my desire to dance. I don't know whether the high or low bass increases or decreases my dancing, as it is not possible for me to test this personally. However, I will observe my friends' reaction to the music when the bass is high or low, and I am very curious about the result.
