What's the best thing to do when boredom strikes? Go get a hat and wear it, get your phone and play uplifting music, get out of your comfort zone for a minute, go see the world outside, and walk wherever you please. A change of scenery can also boost someone's mood. With that, you get to use your legs, and at the same time, you can have a wonderful time while looking around, even if it's just the same view that you often see. The world is so big, we can see more outside. Right? Right? Omooo, I sound like a pro here (≧▽≦), lol.
So,I got bored yesterday, same with Mama. That's why we both agreed to go out and just stroll around for a change of scenery. The first destination was the pick-up shop. We don't really have a plan to buy anything because the real purpose of this walk was to just look around and have fun while doing so. So I ready myself, it's the right timing because I just finished taking a bath at that time. May I just add that these past few days, taking a bath really needs a lot of courage because it's too cold. It's not raining, but the wind is really cold, and we are also having a hard time drying up the clothes.
Anyhow, we started going inside the shop, and when we finally got there, we both took different ways to look around. There's really nothing on my mind at that time. I let my feet lead the way, just to wherever it brought me. Doing this is surely entertaining but, at the same time, frustrating. Because as I look around and see those pretty things inside, it's just sad that I couldn't just get those, as I only have $2 in my pocket, which I will use to buy eggs and tomatoes for our dinner.
I actually brought that money with me with the thought of buying some street foods, but then I suddenly craved something else when I saw this vendor selling a tomato and an egg. It's really been a long time since we had an omelet with a tomato, so I just got this. And because of that, even if I wanted to get a facemask so that I could simultaneously use it whenever I went outside, I couldn't do it because I have other uses for it. But then again, there is still next time, so I will just get it the next time we visit that shop again.
Anyhow, I met Mom halfway here in the footwear section, and there she is, still contemplating whether to get a slipper or not. We really like this slipper here, we like the design and the color, but we didn't like the price of it. $4.14 is too much for us for a pair for this, and we need it both, so we have to spend $8+. It breaks our hearts, but we have to let go of it for now, and as I move my gaze into something else, arghhh, we saw more cool design that it hurts so much, aigoyahhhh! Lol.
I continue to walk around to hurt myself more, lol. I saw these cute mugs with different designs. They are all taller kinds of mugs, but what I need right now is the small one. With a small mug, I can control my caffeine intake. But really, those designs are not bad. And for its price, I can say that it's just okay. The price ranges from $0.72 to $0.90, not even one dollar. This is good for a coffee lover who loves to drink a lot of coffee in the morning, like Mom. It always surprises me whenever she prepares her coffee because she really drinks a whole mug, while I can only take half of it. I'm not that addicted to coffee yet, you see. How about you?
We then headed to the shoe section, and Mama is planning to get one as she also wants to use it on her vacation next month. She is planning to go to Romblon and visit her relatives there and her siblings. I also want to come, but I can't afford that right now because we don't have enough funds for that. Anyhow, Mama started to check shoes in here, but whenever she sees their price, she will back down, saying that those shoes are much cheaper on Shopee or Lazada, which I agreed to. But, then, we are in this shop, so of course it is still understandable that they are pricey (≧▽≦).
But you know, 10 to 30% higher is acceptable, but if it is almost 100%, then that, I think, is too much. Or maybe they are different when it comes to quality, but the goods in those online shops are on par with those they sell in other shops. They have the same quality, and we can also check the reviews, and you will know how good those products are. But then again, we can't really complain because a physical store that requires employees is far different from that shops online. But whatever the case, the buyer can just decide on this matter, and Mama can "no" to it for now (≧▽≦).
This place is really big too. We then headed the other way, and I saw these pretty flowers on this section. They are made with plastic, though, but they are too pretty. And if I didn't touch them, I will really think that they are real flowers, but they're not. It's a good decoration for our home, even in an office or maybe in school too. Flowers in the surrounding can give us a different vibe that is very pleasing to the eyes. Would you agree? ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
And because Christmas is coming, I headed to this part where different kinds of Christmas Tree were lined up. It is the small one, for sure, kids will love this size if you ever decorate your house with it. Put lights on it, then some Christmas balls and stars on top. We never really experience having a Christmas tree, only the light. But it's not like I want it. As far as I remember from my childhood, I don't give much attention to the Christmas tree because I could just see it on the church during the Christmas season when we go to attend mass, and I'm already content with it. You know, those kind of Christmas Tree that is taller than a person.
My last stop was on this corner, Mama was already paying at the counter at that time. This is where you can see mirrors in different sizes. And I also took this chance to take a picture, my outfit looks NAH today, lol. By the way, I always wanted to buy a big mirror like this, a full-length body mirror. We actually have that kind of mirror attached to my mom's cabinet at home.
Sadly, they decided to cover it for some reason. I'm not sure why, but I really got annoyed when they covered it. Now we only have a small mirror, but it is only for the face. I always wanted to check my outfit in the mirror whenever we had to go somewhere, and I had to wear something for that. But now I can't do that because of this. So on my next visit here, I'll surely get one of these and put it inside my bedroom.
I think we spend more than 30 minutes inside this shop just checking their items. Thanks to that, we feel more refreshed, and our boredom disappears. We had fun too, just checking the prices of the items and talking while comparing their prices in an online shop. All in all, we had a great time.
