I woke up at 4 am, and I thought it would be just the usual Sunday. But I have no idea that the oldies had another plan. They wake up the same time as me, but they decided to get up while I chose to stay in bed while browsing on my phone. I noticed that the oldies are getting ready already, Mommy F is getting some water while waiting for the water to heat up on the stove. And Mommy D is organizing some stuff in her store. That's our everyday scenario, so I thought it would be just the usual start of our day.
But then, Mom, wake me up. She thought I'm still asleep, but I'm actually not. It's just 5 am, and she's waking me up because we will go to the church to attend the mass, that's according to her. They didn't inform me before hand, I wasn't even prepared, especially my clothes. I can't really complain, so I just stood up, brushed my teeth, and washed my face. It's a good thing I took a bath yesterday in the afternoon. But because I wasn't prepared, I'm a bit grumpy because I hate it when there's a sudden plan and I am not informed.
But life must go on, and I set aside the grumpiness and freed my heart and mind from any unwanted emotions. So when we get inside the church, I am already okay and no more bad mood, lol. We're early, look at the church, almost empty. It's still dark outside, but the lightpost outside gives us light while walking to get to the church. And just before the mass started, the empty seat was then filled with a lot of people. At 7 am, we are already outside the church buying sliced bread for breakfast.
After having our breakfast, Mommy decided to cook this vegetable dish made with jackfruit and coconut milk as one of its main ingredients. It's called Ginataang Langka. Preparing this is kinda tiring, especially the cutting portion. I did the cutting, and the oldies want its bits to be smaller for it to cook faster. Well, actually, I also prefer this size because a bigger cut doesn't really appeal to me. How about my fellow Filipinos here? And ah, we mixed one dried fish while cooking this and chicken too. Actually, the last time, we mixed dried anchovies here, but the oldies want different dried fish this time.
And there you have it. Done and yum! The cooking time took one hour, and the time that we finished cooking it, we then had our lunch. Ginataang Langka is really the best with dried fish! They are the perfect combination with white steamed rice.
Anyhow, after the hearty lunch we had, the oldies planned to go to Bulbugan just to unwind. It's mommy D's place, and her sister waited for them. But actually, Mom just really wants to use her new toy -I mean, to drive. She's always eager to drive her new tricycle, and I'm always anxious whenever she drives. I didn't go with them though, I feel so exhausted cutting the whole Jackfruit that I'd rather just sleep than go somewhere and get tired because of the heat.
Here, this is how hot it was when they decided to go on a drive. Look at the clear blue sky, just looking at it made me imagine how much sweat I'll sweat when we arrive in Bulbugan. The oldies convinced me for the second time to come, but I firmly said no. I just really want to rest and have a peaceful and cool Sunday.
Let me also share our snacks in the afternoon. Seriously though, its been a long time since I last had this sandwich, it's called Footlong, and we bought it at Angels Burger. This has always been my favorite because of the juicy and cheesy footlong. It's really just the best sandwich for me. I paired it with C2 apple (ʘᴗʘ✿).
So how about you? How's your Sunday? The oldies got home safe and sound which made me sign in relief While waiting for them, I wish and wish and wish that their whole travel will be safe and that they are being guided by Him. And bow the new tricycle was up again. Later Mom will cover it to protect it from the rain and the dust. Lol
