Having more supermarkets or grocery stores in one's town is actually more amazing because we can choose the shop we want to go to for our grocery shopping. You know, we have a lot of choices. And I'm sure even one of those shops sells a little cheaper products, which is a lot helpful to us, who have a tight budget. It'll be more amazing if that place is air-conditioned, where people can happily shop without experiencing a lot of sweat on a sunny day.
So why am I talking about this, you asked? Well, I heard that these two municipalities, Pinamalayan and Bongabong, which is, by the way, a neighboring town of ours, have this newly opened supermarket. Mind you, it has branches all over the country, sana all! And having this in one's town will surely bring a lot of people, and that only means one thing: *MONEY, MONEY, MONEY! It's really cool that they have that kind of supermarket in their municipality. Having it in the neighborhood is super advantageous, especially to those who do monthly grocery shopping.
And it has air conditioning, which will give the shoppers comfort while picking the items they need. Ahhhh! We want this too! Huhu. Sad, because while these two municipalities are making great progress, our municipality, on the other hand, has low progress, I think. No new buildings, in fact, more shop here is closing down, for some reason. Pinamalayan already has those known fast food chains, like Jolibee and Chowking, and next month, McDonald's will soon have a branch in Pinamalayan too. Amazing no?
It's cool that they have those. When I learned that they will finally have a Puregold in Pinamalayan, I couldn't help but envy those who live there. Their town is slowly progressing, while I feel ours has made no progress at all. We don't even have those fast food chains in our town compared to others. Well, I can't really blame those investors who want a franchise or a branch of those well-known fast food chains because our town is kind of small, I think.
And seriously, I already shared this before, but I really feel like the number of people in our town is slowly decreasing. But anyways, I'm just a little jealous, and I'm still happy even if we don't have them here in our town. I'm not even sure if I have the power to be a regular in those known shops or food chains (≧▽≦). If we have them here in our town, we'll surely need money to enjoy those shops and fast food chains. And that's what I am currently lacking, as of typing this. What a very sad reality, lololol.
Moving on, here's the newly built Puregold, which, according to Google, has 558 stores all over the country, including submarkets, minimarts, and some warehouses. This is actually the first time I've been to Puregold, so I can't compare it to other Puregolds all around the country. But Mama said the one in Bongabong, has a much bigger Puregold building. See, Bansud is in the middle of the two, why didn't they make a stop in Bansud to also build another branch there? Just kidding. But look how busy the roads are in Pinamalayan. We only experienced this in Bansud during closing time of the workers and students.
Welcome to Puregold, everyone! I think their colors are the signature of puregold: green, yellow, and white. It is actually a very good color combination, no? Very lively and so catchy, anyone will have a second look if ever they get pass here. And because they are newly opened, there are still cute baloons at the entrance.
So, we're finally inside. We are greeted with the cold breeze blowing from the air conditioning, and we love it so much. I almost sleep on the ground because of how comfortable the cold is. And do you see those counters? There's a lot, no? But there's a line of people at every counter, which just shows how people love to shop here. Or maybe, because it's new, lol. And I can relate to them a lot, lol. Who wouldn't, right? Shopping in a spacious environment with air conditioning in this sunny weather is much better than shopping just anywhere. At least here, you will surely enjoy the shopping. Aside from that, they have a lot of products that you can pick from here.
They have different kinds of beverages, grains, fruits, and even vegetables, and, oh, also meat. And they have different cuts for it. Their chicken is from Magnolia, by the way. I'm not sure about their beef and pork, though.
Usually, when we visit a shop, we will look first for the item we need. But this time, we explore the shop first to see if they have those products that are new to our eyes, and also so that we have more reason to stay longer in there. Look at Mama, checking every shelf in there, lol. We want to buy more products here, but sadly, we don't have that much money to do so. How I wish I cam bring one every of product here, at him, lol.
Now for their pricing, there's not much difference when it comes to the pricing, it's neither cheap nor pricey. I think they are only cheaper by cents if I compare it to Cathymart (one of our favorite grocery stores in Pinamalayan). But if you are buying a month worth of groceries, those cents can be a big game changer, especially for those who have budgeted money.
Anyway, after some more walking, that's when we decided to go pick up the items we needed to buy, mostly just necessities like detergent powder, fabric conditioner, and then shampoo. I want to add more, like biscuits or some "kutkutin," but unfortunately, I am one of those who have budgeted money. Lol. As for Mama, she got the same item as mine, it's mostly just a necessity at home.
And after getting all we need, we just pay for the items we picked and go home. But wait, even paying for all these took a lot of time because there were really a lot of shoppers at that time. Every counter has a long line, and of course, we have to fall in line too, so that we can pay. It's really a good thing that it's cold inside, so even if it took few minutes before we could pay, it is still comfortable for us - we just got into the line and waited. And here's the items I bought in Puregold.
So to my fellow Filipinos here, how's the Puregold branch in your area? Is it big too? And cold? Hehe.
