I was busy attending to our cat, Black Black, when Ka Nida appeared and asked me, "Do you want Lukban?" Knowing that she will sell it later for sure, I declined politely while also saying that she should just sell it. The truth is I am just too shy to accept it. I am grateful though, but then she's boosting the Lukban, like how sweet it is, especially if it is dipped in salt. I am really so shy to say yes, but she's persistent. Lol. In the end, she gave me one Lukban even though I already decline, and she already peeled it. I think she read my mind because she said that she peeled it so that the buyer wouldn't need to peel it anymore. They can eat it immediately. Like, she's really too sweet.
Look how it was beautifully peeled. I always eat Valencia fruit before, so peeling this kind of fruit is really hard. It will take time if you want it cleanly peeled. I can already feel the sour taste in my mouth, but I decided to take a photo first. With how neatly it was peeled, it will be wasted if I don't share it with everyone. Lol. At least I want to appreciate it by doing this.
Look at those juicy pulps. I can already imagine how those pulps will be crushed in my mouth and taste their juice. I can't really taste it because I already lost my sense of smell and taste, but the feeling of it in my mouth and it's pulp popping is enough to fully enjoy it.
And actually, during my teens, I can always eat a sour fruit like this, just like Valencia fruits. But now I can't eat a lot of it because my stomach will start to hurt if I do so. Ahhh, I missed those times when I could still eat different kinds of food in a day without thinking about acid reflux.
But anyways, I'll indulge this intense desire to eat this sour fruit and enjoy it to the fullest. And who knows when I will be able to eat it again? I don't crave it, but after receiving this amazing gift from the old woman downstairs, I can't help but to finally give in to the temptation.
And by the way, I only eat four of these. And the rest, Mommy F and Mommy D, eat it all, but Mommy F eats more than Mommy D. It is her favorite actually because she believes it is good for her.
I ate four in a minute, and I want more. This is the bad side of eating a Lukban, once you taste its sour juice and feel its pulps in your tongue, you'll really crave for more. But I can't eat a lot of 'em, so I stop myself and just remember the happiness I felt while eating it.
Lukban is a pomelo, I'm not sure if everyone is familiar with it, but it is one sour fruit with a really thick skin. And inside of that thick skin is a juicy fruit, just like an orange. But this has clear color.
I super enjoy this ┏(^0^)┛.
