A tamed chick is really adorable, it just feels like you have puppies as a pet. If they got used to you and heard their name in your mouth, they would run toward you as if they understood what you said. Well, they really can understand, especially if you gave them names and they got used to that name, often calling them with it. When one of Mama's chickens reacted when she called them by their names, I was so amazed that I can't believe it really happened. I was like, "What, that's possible?" I always see chickens as vicious beasts because of what I experienced before (≧▽≦).
But after seeing Mama manage her chicken pets so well, I also started to see them in a positive light. I also tried taming Mama's chicken, especially the little chicks, because I believe when you tame them at that age, you can easily get to their hearts, and you'll get yourself an instant baby chick as a pet. And so begins my amazing life journey as these chickens become part of my daily life. I often go visit Mama's yard just so I can babysit the little chicks, even the adult ones. Those who become adults because I already tame them still remember me now.
Just like Maria, and her sibling Nonoy is also a tamed one. I love to talk to them even though they can't answer back. Also, I really enjoyed caressing their feather because it was so smooth. I can say that it is very therapeutic too. That's why I always love to hold them in my arms. I could never do this before, to be honest, but now, hihi. We're close, so it's okay. I'm still not fond of the other rooster or chicken out there because there are really chickens that are so wild and a beast.
Anyhow, I think I haven't introduced yet our new chicks, Kulas, lol. The name is so not cute, my gosh! Lol. Mama named them, so what do I expect? And here's our pretty boy, Kulas. He already knows his name, by the way, because he reacts whenever we call him by that name. He reacted particularly to Mama, just using her voice. Well, she's the one feeding them, so of course that's just normal. I think what's not normal is that they have names. Even those cockfighters don't have a name. And I think it is still new to some people that a chicken can be tame too, as long as you show them love and not a knife with hot water. Lol.
Kulas is really growing fast, he eats feed, corn, and rice, he also eats guava. I saw him a while ago in the backyard. He also eats fish, I think all of them do. I haven't tried feeding him bread yet, but the old chickens eat it. They even eat cooked rice with fish, haha. I think they can eat everything.
Another thing is that Kulas is allowed to go to sleep in Mama's bed, just like the other, haha. Mama had to often clean their mess, especially their poop and feathers, but it's okay with her as long as her chicken pets are all happy. There are times that Kulas hides in Mama's room because he is often chased by Nonoy even her own Mom, now that her Momma Maria hatch egg again. This is the reason why Nonoy is always on leash, because he is just bad to the other chicken. But Maria is not on leash because there's still a good side to her, sometimes (≧▽≦).
I had another fun day with Kulas and the others today. We also had Pandesal with them, and yes, Kulas eat bread too, seriously. Lol. It's chaotic when they start to sing a song together, they don't even sing in tune. I also get annoyed sometimes, but still, they really bring joy into our lives. We have another baby chick that I haven't tamed yet because I had to work my way through Kulas's heart first, but I will also start taming him. He doesn't have a name yet, but let's see, we're not even sure of his gender, but I think he's male.
Anyways, please give Kulas some love. I hope you enjoy his cuteness ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.
