"Nothing is guaranteed", I have heard this phrase many times and I have also heard that life is filled with uncertainties, there are some things we can't seem to control no matter how much we try. I agree with this but I also believe that to navigate through this journey of life, it is paramount that we make plans and I love making plans for almost all aspects of my life. I get that there are some things that we can't help no matter how much we try but whatever it is that I can make plans on I don't hesitate to do so.
One of the important parts of my life that I make plans on is my finances. I have come to learn that money goes faster than it comes in. You take months working on your savings and one wrong decision might have you losing all it took a lot of time to accumulate. This is why every month I have my budget carefully planned and I always follow it meticulously since I know what my income will be. I don't buy on impulse nor do I live to impress, I just do me.
Another aspect of my life that I make plans on is my health. Due to the stress associated with my job, I always make sure I use my weekends meticulously. Most of my weekends are spent indoors to get a well-deserved rest. I exercise well, take enough fluids and make sure I take great care of my health. Sometimes if I have to attend an event, I make plans beforehand that way it doesn't affect my other activities.
One aspect that I did try to plan but doesn't always work out is feeding. Due to the spike in the price of foodstuffs now, sometimes I just go with the flow, though I still try to make sure I eat a balanced diet on most occasions. I once made a diet table on what I will prepare every day but I sometimes find myself not sticking to it because of the hike in the price of foodstuffs and in a way it helped me become more creative as I got to try new dishes.
Planning is good but sometimes when it doesn't work out, I try a different approach and sometimes allow things work to out for themselves. Some of my goals have been achieved through planning, though sometimes things don't go as planned but I don't allow that to deter me as I keep on making plans and working towards achieving those plans. So my answer to the question posed is that while I love planning, I won't say I am 100% in control of every aspect of my life.
