A New Way to Play: dCity

in #hive-198197yesterday

Since the beginning

of the year things in dCity have been changing.

For the better or worse?

I shouldn't be the judge of that since I did play a heavy role influencing this effect.

The NEW Meta

Now that dCity curates its own content creators we can effectively talk about and expose exploits profitably.

One such exploits is no mystery to me and many others, but it does seem to persist in this space even though we have all agreed that it is frowned upon.

Of course, I am talking about multiaccount citizen claims.

Some people are of the opinion that this ruins the experience in every game for everyone except those with multiple accounts.

This top 400 leaderboard benefit is meant to allow new/real players an opportunity to enter the game at a reasonable price and some players are abusing it quite brazenly.

Minting new citizens inflates the number of citizens in the game devaluing their presence when abused.

This centralization of assets is great for those who are running multiple accounts and already know about the game, but it creates a false pressure in the buying or selling of a marketable asset like citizens which retain passive income value.

In an effort to create a more decentralized world I have chosen the path of promotion.

There are multiple ways to invest in citizen farming without exploiting game mechanics like delegating 500 HP to @dcityrewards allots you a passive daily citizen airdrop that you don't even have to claim.

This delegation pool is what allows the new meta of dcity gameplay.

I won't lie I personally ran multiple citizens claims for a period of time but did so openly and I have never batted an eye of regret about exposing myself when my accounts were banned from citizen claims.

Content Strategy

The new meta for gameplay is content creation and actual promotion of the game.

If you can't support that then I hope your farming operation gets banned as well.

I won't name anyone immediately, but I can literally create content about your farm and make more money on the post than you are making exploiting the game.

Not sure if they will even read this because I am not going to throw anyone under the bus yet, but I do want to bring this topic up for everyone to discuss.

Thanks for reading guys let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on the post!

What is your take on multi account citizen claims?

&

Have you considered promoting dCity with content?
