How to Unlock Massive Savings in dCity

Let's Explore A Secret Marketplace Hack in dCity!🤑😜🤫

Hello fellow mayors and aspiring city builders!

If you're diving into the dCity marketplace, you might have noticed there are two key prices for every card: the ask price (what the seller is asking for) and the bid price (what buyers are offering).

But did you know that understanding the bid system could save you a fortune in SIM? 💰

Imagine this: You're in the market to expand your city with a shiny new Worker, or maybe you're hunting for that elusive Tax Collector. You head straight for the ask price, pay up, and walk away thinking you've made a great purchase. But what if I told you there’s a smarter, more cost-effective way to get those cards? 🤔

Enter the Power of Bids! 🏙️

Bids are like magic offers that sit below the ask price, waiting for sellers to accept them. And here’s the kicker—most of the time, bids are less than HALF the ask price! 🎉

That’s right, you could get the same card you were about to purchase for 50% off or more just by placing a bid.

Why Are Bids So Cheap? 🤑

It's simple: many players need fast SIM, and when they're selling, they might accept the lower bid just to cash out quickly. As a savvy city builder, you can take advantage of these opportunities by placing bids rather than jumping to buy at the ask price.

Imagine stacking up several citizens, buildings, or even tech cards at huge discounts. You could invest those extra SIM into other parts of your city—whether that's training citizens, upgrading buildings, or saving for bigger, more strategic moves!

How Do You Place a Bid? 🛠️

  • Find the card you want on the dCity marketplace.
  • Look at the bids before you rush to the ask price!
  • If there’s no bid or the current bid is low enough, place your own bid.

  • In this bid I found some population extremely undervalued in the Criminals(creativity).
  • To finalize a bid you place it in your cart.

  • You can load multiple items in your cart and even place buy orders at ask price at the same time as bids.
  • Your order will not be placed unless you accept the total payment price in the cart.

All you need is patience while your offer sits on the market waiting to be matched.

Let’s Do Some Quick Math! 🧮

Last Ask Price for a Tax Collector: 159,000 SIM
Bid Price for the same card: 100,000 SIM
Your savings: 59,000 SIM!

That’s 590,000 SIM you just saved by bidding instead of buying outright! That’s enough to train several citizens or start experiments in your city. 🎓🔬

But Why Stop There? 🚀

What if I told you that seasoned players are using bids to stockpile cards for future profit? By bidding and buying low, you can resell cards when prices go up, turning a tidy profit without any additional investment.

Ready to Save and Succeed?

So next time you’re browsing the marketplace, don’t rush into fulfilling that ask price. Take a moment, place a bid, and watch as the savings roll in. Whether you're a new player or a dCity veteran, mastering the art of the bid is your ticket to building a bigger, better city—without breaking the bank.

Happy bidding, fellow mayors! Let's build smarter, save more, and grow our cities to new heights! 🏙️💪

Yes bidding is always profitable but need patience. One more thing until your bid is fulfilled you get 30% APR on your SIM.

While this is true, I've noticed a lot of people try to ride the edge of SIM Club with holdings in LP and using Bids and you have to be careful as you can knock yourself out of the Club momentarily when the market moves. If you aren't trying to maintain a specific amount it's a great strategy to grow with making huge NFT discounts and keeping your 30% APR from holdings over 8k for 30 days AKA SIM Power.

Always nice to learn from you

I wonder if this bid things can filter some ID series of minimum to avoid getting almost dead citizen, because even I go for the asking price, I still got the dead citizen, so this bid things could be a way for those wo knows their citizen will dead soon to dump their NFT to the bidder

This is some good information. The marketplace has always been confusing to me.
