Hi all,
I made a post about the cult of the Lamb weeks ago and you guys seemed to like it, Today I finished the game( actually I didn't finish it, I still have to defeat the one who waits) and went on crusading until I die or I don't know, I never went on crusading over and over before, I guess we'll find out today together.
I started the crusade with four red hearts, a single blue heart which can be obtained by eating a meal in our base, and a deceased heart(a diseased heart is a powerful item in the game when an enemy attacks you, all enemy receives the damage when you have diseased heart) I think I'll receive one at the starting of the crusade. I was hoping to get a claw or axe with the perk of poisoning the enemies which is my favorite weapon, but I got a sword, which is not bad but it's not my favorite.
the reason why I like claw and axe is because of their range, more fast weapons such as sword and dagger have very fast attack speed with medium or low weapon damage, and the damage and attack speed are indicated when picking up a weapon, but there is one thing they don't mention anywhere, that is the weapon range, you have to play with various weapons to notice it, but when you play two or more crusades, you'll notice. the dagger and sword have very small weapon range whereas the axe and claw has a medium or larger weapon range.
I really like fast weapons with low damage, because when I play with a weapon you can swing at the speed of a blink of an eye, that's very cool, so most of the time I try to pick up a weapon with more attack speed in any game. but that won't work with this game, since the combat system and the hitbox of enemies are very unpredictable. sometimes I know I definitely hit the enemy but the hit won't register and sometimes I swing the weapon opposite but still get the hit, and with the dagger, this happens soo often that I got very frustrated so that's when I started to notice the weapon range.
With claw(gauntlet) and axe, I can stand at a safe distance so that I can dodge when the enemy prepares to attack and attack with good damage. especially the claw, you can do a combo attack to do more damage to the enemy which was very handy, so most of the time ill play claw or axe, the axe has more weapon range than claw, so both of these weapons are a very good choice in my opinion, and when I use this weapon I can be sure when the attack landed on the enemy or not.
I always use golden fleece, you can unlock fleeces by doing side quests by people other than your followers, I first unlocked golden fleece and never used other fleece even after unlocking all of the fleeces. you can choose which fleece you want to unlock, so I chose golden fleece because I thought it was very useful when crusading. the golden fleece makes damage dealt increase after each kill, every time I kill an enemy it doesn't matter if it's a small or big enemy, the damage of the weapon increases by 5%. but the catch is when I receive a hit, I take double damage, and the damage increased is also reset. so I try to dodge constantly when I am fighting, not because I take double damage, but because I don't wanna reset the damage increased.
You can draw one tarot card from Chaunuk randomly spawned between each crusade, you can also pay 20 gold coins to draw a bonus tarot card from time to time.
My Build
I am referring to the tarot cards you can collect in each of the crusades:
Fervour's Host - Fervour replenishes fully when entering a new combat room.
True Sight -10% chance of dealing a critical hit.
Diseased Heart - Damages everything in the screen when hit.
Fortune's Blessing - Receive double the health when healing.
The Bomb - Drop an explosive when roll, 10s cooldown.
The Hearts Three - Gain an Extra Two Hearts.
All Seeing Sun - 20% extra damage during day.
Master of the Art+ - Overall weapon damage increased by x1.5.
Telescope - Reveal the map.
Rabbit's foot - increased the chance to spawn better chests.
Weeping Moon - 30% more damage during night.
Fervour's Harvest - Enemies will drop 2x more fervour than before.
Nature's Boon - Harvest more resources.
Total thirteen tarot cards, my most collection yet, because of the nonstop crusades.
I was hoping at the end of the crusade, I need to fight one of the four bishops The Leshy. When I defeated Leshy for the first time, ratata said that the darkwood has been possessed by more powerful monsters and the difficulty of enemies has been increased. so I wanted to know what was up, and at the end of the crusade, a clone of Leshy was spawned and it was a little bit more powerful than Leshy. I thought at the end of the crusade a clone of Leshy would spawn like before. But I was just sent to another crusade when I entered the door. but I had fun and I built a good tarot card build too.
I hope You enjoyed this post, Thank you for reading, and have a nice day!.
and more importantly GAME ON!!!.
