Hello everyone, I am delighted to write and share with you all this write-up which is drafted from a video I was sent to watch and learn from. I hope that you will learn something from it. The topic for today is "Depression and anxiety — how to overcome these biblically (Part 1 of 3) | The Old Path

From the beginning of the video, Brother Eli stated "if you are worried about dying, then depression will come." A Christian is a servant of God that would never suffer depression. We come over depression and all anxieties in life by faith. From the book of Philippians 4: 6-7 "Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ."
Looking at the story of the poor man Lazarus in the Bible, indicates that both the poor and the rich would die and would be buried same. Death is a decree, and everyone would die after our lifespan reaches. We should also know that we would be resurrected and be given the eternal life.
We should not be a complainer of sorrows, or anxieties just as Lazarus did not live with any form of complaining about his condition on this earth. Due to his diligence and perseverance, he was entered into Heaven.
We must know that, no matter the age of man, we would die. This indicates that both the yound and the old would all die no matter your age. From the Book of Isaiah 57:1 "The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come."
This verse teaches that Death is by the will of God and there is no consideration to that when your time approaches. God knows everything, he is the merciful. Sometimes God takes our lives, so we do not encounter the evil that is yet to happen soon.
We should know that we were not intended by God to live forever on earth. God promised us a paradise where there is peace and tranquility.
