Hello everyone. This time, I am visiting Sunyaragi Cave, an artificial cave located in the Sunyaragi District, Kesambi, Cirebon City, West Java, Indonesia.
Portrait of sunyaragi cave or also called Guwa sunyaragi sari garden.
The entrance to Gua Sunyaragi can be seen above and below, and there are several doors and small passages. The area of each passage is about 1x1 square meters. According to myths, they can penetrate two methods in Mecca, Medina, and even Chinese countries. However, this is just a mythical story from ancient people, I don't know the truth. I myself did not dare to enter the small passage, as the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up. All I felt around the cave was as if there were strange creatures.
The cave is also known as Gua Sari Sunyaragi or Taman Sunyaragi. Having a coral structure that resembles a temple, this site was previously used as a playground for the sons and daughters of the Cirebon royal family. Despite being hundreds of years old, locals say the cave was built around 1703 AD by Prince Kalarangggeng, the great-grandson of Sunan Gunung Jati. The Sunyaragi Cave still exists today and is an interesting historical site to visit. Let's explore the beauty and history of this place! Let's take a look around...!
As you can see in the images above and below, this is the front of the main entrance of the palace. Because, as mentioned above, this place used to serve as a playground for the sons and daughters of the royal family of Cirebon, West Java, until it was renamed Gua Sunyaragi. Because there are caves around the palace.
The Kaputren room in Javanese is interpreted as the room of the king's daughter, as you can see below.
As I said, this place was previously called the palace, and eventually changed its name to sunyaragi cave. The original name of this place is actually not sunyaragi cave. The palace was long abandoned by the royal family, and the name has been modified. All that remains are the ruins of architectural stones that give the impression and shape of a cave. Once the palace of the royal family of the Keraton, this place is now known as an artificial cave or sunyaragi cave that exudes the beauty of an abandoned story of the past. !
The remaining stone fragments are like moss that will never die.
I took this photo when I went there. It looks like a moss-covered stone, even though it's not a stone. Rather, it is the Royal Cave, now called Sunyaragi Cave.
Today, the Palace is visited by many tourists from both home and abroad. Just like previous visits, I saw many people having a great time here, taking pictures with their friends and family, enjoying the beauty and history that this place has to offer, and capturing those moments forever. Similarly, I too felt the charm of this palace and captured beautiful moments during my visit.
Thank you for following my journey.
See you soon.
