The journey to Sokarno Peak: Carstensz Pyramid

in #hive-1637725 months ago

Hello everyone! This time, I traveled to Sokarno Peak. The struggle in this optimal journey has given the best result and relieved the fatigue, by being at the summit. The mountain's original name, Carstensz Pyramid, was named after Dutch explorer Jan Carstenszzoon, who first spotted a glacier at the top of the mountain on a sunny day in 1623. During independence, the mountain was named Sukarno Peak in honor of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia. Later, the name was changed to Puncak Jaya Wijaya in the era of the next president. At 4,883m above sea level, the peak is located in Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province, Indonesia, and is one of the most stunning destinations I have ever explored.

When I reached this peak, it was very beautiful. I could see the beauty of the mountains on the peak and the white clouds like a sea of cotton. The view is truly amazing and makes every step of the struggle so worthwhile.

The journey to explore this peak with other friends was full of obstacles and challenges, especially since the weather was extreme. On the way we crossed a path full of ice blocks and it was very cold so we all wore thick jackets to protect ourselves from the bitter air. This trip was full of pitfalls, but it was a valuable and unforgettable experience.

When I held the ice, I felt the coldness of the ice directly on my fingers.

As I was crossing a small road heading uphill, I was faced with an unexpected obstacle in the form of white snow and ice chunks filling every nook and cranny of the road.

The journey to Soekarno Peak was not easy. Together with my friends, especially in extreme weather, I encountered quite serious obstacles and problems. Roads filled with cold air and ice flakes have become an integral part of this climbing experience. It's important to wear a thick jacket to protect yourself from the piercing air.

The weather was a bit unsettled when I arrived at the summit, with occasional raindrops soaking my red jacket, which combined with the very cold atmosphere on the way to the summit, made it a bit difficult to take photos. Above... Here

We all decided to rest for a while at this place before continuing our journey to the still difficult summit. Even though I was tired, my desire to reach the summit was still burning.

Thank you for following me and my friends on our journey to Puncak Soekarno, now renamed Puncak Jaya Wijaya.
