One of the fundamental principles behind electroculture is that spirals direct the flow of life-giving energy and the bigger the spiral the bigger the effect, so it seems clear that we should build spirals into the design of our gardens. Our homes and even our cities would obviously benefit too. Convenience and masculine logic (straight lines are best!) is the reason we don't, but at what cost?
Ask and it is given
A few weeks ago I bumped into a lady who hasn't been active on her land this year. She told me she would love to grow food and medicine there but doesn't have the time. Life, she says, is extremely busy for her. No problem I said. The solution is obvious. I will grow the food and medicinal plants on her land and we will all share the results. This sounded good to her. So the deal was done and now I have another project to sink my teeth into.
But the story doesn't end there. A particularly advanced minded lady from New Zealand recently moved to our village and seemed very interested in my various ongoing projects & dreams for the future. She even has a mother who was into electroculture in the 70s! Long story short she has agreed to part-finance the cloudbuster project and also the elctroculture devices which will go in this new garden. And together we will all reap the rewards with a harmonised environment and nutrient-dense food & medicine at our doorstep!
The Spiral Garden
Located just a 10 second walk from the cosmic cone/pyramid garden it is perfectly placed next to the canal, making it simple to water. That being said it is still illegal to take water from the canal despite the huge amount of rain we've had during the last month. And I think you already know what I have to say about that.
The land is full mostly with what appears to be a tree of some kind. Many of which will have to go. Bigger ones will be useful for shade.
A closer look at one here if anybody fancies taking a guess at what it might be?
There were edible mushrooms growing in a few places due to all that rain we've been getting. They tasted great fried with some onions.
There were also some ashwaganda plants from last year which I dug up and prepared immediately. Love this tea beyond all others not only because it is an adaptogen but because it tastes so great. A decent coffee alternative too.
I contemplated spiral designs as I cut the roots into pieces and came up with this as my first idea. The black lines showing watering channels which will be covered with wood and used as walkways.
The design felt too complicated in the end and a few days later I drew this, which has a better flow for the water from the canal.
This design also provides an opportunity for an electroculture 'tour' of sorts, because now there is only one route to get to the end. My idea is to display various different techniques along the route with information for people to read. I expect this garden to attract a fair bit of attention when it is finished and I would like for people to come in and learn how it all works.
Further to this there is land above it which is unused and I'm pretty sure the owner would agree to let me create a public viewing platform so the spiral can be seen more clearly.
My new friend from New Zealand gave me this little book a few days ago, which shows the importance of the diagram you can see on the front.
It really is an important shape, relevant in every aspect of our existence and replicated in the art & architecture of our great ancestors.
So it was with this in mind that I drew what I believe is my final design.
All the crossing points of the straight lines will be respected in some way. Haven't yet made my mind up but I will likely put crystals, orgonite or perhaps trees at these points where there will be an enhanced energy. In the east & west spiral centres I will put round towers (large ceramic tubes filled with basalt) to create a 'cathedral effect', as described by Yannick VD.
To build the spiral as accurately as possible I will use my drone, getting shots from above. This is I think a pretty good excuse to start flying again after a few years off.
Day 1
Our first day working on this land was a special one.
Up at 5am for coffee and computer time.
Sungazing at 6.30am
There was something electric in the air that morning. Very special feeling.
I normally do my meditation inside but on this occasion I decided to do it in the garden behind the pool.
The sun was warm on my face so I took my top off and enjoyed the feeling.
I do my best to sit in lotus position for 30mins with something soft under my bum and I always hold my Wands of Horus. Copper in the right hand, zinc in the left.
It feels amazing by the way and I am totally hooked on meditation at the moment. Will do a dedicated post on this soon enough as I have a fair bit to say about it now.
After breakfast Esteban and I went to dowse the land for energetic lines, which is of course the first thing a person should do before getting started with the more physical jobs. While I was busy dowsing (establishing that the back section has no lines at all) Esteban suddenly found a four leaf clover!
He has been looking for three years, so finding it here feels like a great omen.
After getting the clover safely back home in one piece and wedged carefully between the pages of a book (James and the Giant Peach) I started to prepare the first bed, strictly aligned with north/south.
Then I mixed basalt into the soil, which is in my opinion one of the simplest things a person can do to see instant results. Looks like grey coloured sand. You can see it on the surface of the soil in the foreground of this shot.
This bed is designed to be temporary, giving us quick access to a decent grow space while we create the main spirals.
Here you can see the magnetised cable going in.
And here is Sabrina planting the first seeds.
I was too excited to go home for lunch that day so my family kindly delivered it to the garden.
All the food you can see in this shot was grown by us.
Esteban & I marked the occasion by taking this photo.
The following day I extended the bed and am currently creating walkways.
All seeds have been planted and all the space is effectively filled.
Various electroculture devices have been placed in different beds so the effects can be compared.
These butterflies came and did a little dance for me yesterday, happy I think with what we are doing here.
This morning I ventured into the area behind the land.
And was pleasantly surprised to find a total jungle back there.
Complete with a bamboo mud spa for pigs.
They even have a mud slide which takes them down to the river at the bottom!
I would very much like to set up a secret camera here and see how much fun they have.
Crystal cleansing on the Solstice
On the solstice we gathered all of our crystals and orgonite into this tray, next to some flowers from our land.
And we cleaned them just outside the spiral garden at this section of the canal where the water falls.
Quartz actually prefers salt water but I think they will be okay with this.
While they were cleansing the children and I sang the water song four times, each time towards a different cardinal point.
Will try and write a dedicated post about the water song in the future. It helps purify water and also works to encourage the rain. Apparently it is particularly effective when you sing it around orgonite with honourable intentions in your heart. Certainly it has been working wonders for us. More rain this last month than the whole of last year. Which is why the pigs now have a mud slide ;)
The crystals stayed in the water for around an hour and then came home to dry in the sun.
For your reference, those five selenite batons you can see (the white sticks) should not cleaned with water. Sun only.
The crystals are still in the box now and will receive some moonlight tonight (sky looking clear currently!) before being implemented around our house and gardens, purified and infused with our intentions for the future.
Pyramid/Cosmic Cone garden
Things are looking pretty nuts here.
Will have to do a dedicated post on this, or perhaps even a video.
I have never seen plants develop this quickly before.
The pyramid itself is being used to charge seedlings at the moment.
While the cucumbers are exploding within the cosmic cone.
The titan sunflowers are enormous already creating lots of useful shade for the plants below.
Over in the corner this single sunflower plant is producing so many glorious colourful heads.
It truly is a marvel to behold.
Long may the magical ride continue!
Into a land without straight lines...
