What habits or addictions, both good and bad, have you developed and which you would like to get rid of?

Good day everyone,

Today I will be participating in the question of the week season 10.3 hosted by @ecotrain community.

First of all,What's an habit? An habit is basically a practice or an act a person his used to and it's very hard to let go or give up.

A very bad habit I have developed over the years is drinking a lot of soda or soft drinks and this because i find them very sweet most especially when there are cold or chilled. I take over two to three soft drinks in a day (it could be Maltina, Pepsi or Fanta) which isn't good for my health but i find it hard to stop taking them. Soft drinks are not good for the body because they could lead to weight gain, diabetes and so on.

According to my research there is 10.6 g of sugar per 100 ml of Coca-Cola original taste,so taking too much of these could lead to Type 2 diabetes which isn't good for the body system.

Secondly,I have gotten used to the habit of always listening to music. This is one good habit I have developed. Music helps to heal the soul,there is music for every mood,there were times where I will be sad and immediately i listen to songs by Maroon 5 or The Weeknd there is always these joy that fills my heart and suddenly I forget all my sorrows or even forget all that made me sad.

Another bad habit I have developed is not taking my breakfast,i am already used to taking my first meal of the day in the afternoon. This a very bad habit I need to get rid of simply because as a student eating very early in the morning as a lot of benefits. For instance if a student doesn't eat in the morning before going to class then he or she might not be able to have enough energy or strength to listen to what the teacher has to say. Also,eating breakfast helps to improve a student's brain power.

I have also developed the habit of brushing my teeth twice a day. This is a very common habit between people and it's a very good habit I had to develop.

Brushing regularly has a lot of benefits as it helps to prevent toothache,tooth decay or gum diseases. It also helps to enable a sparkling smile , someone who doesn't take good care of his or her teeth might not be able be able to smile with the teeth open due to been ashamed lol.

These are beautiful habits one needs to build and be addicted to especially that of brushing twice daily. It helps keep the gums clean from particles. Wen we have identified the bad habits, we should work on changing them so we don´t get too addicted to them because it can affect us in a bad way. Thanks for posting for the QOTW.

I also had habit of taking soda often. But after I improved upon my acidity problem, the habit reduced a lot. Nice write up.

You've got quite a collection of good habits, listening to music is good and can be liken to a medicine for the soul.

Though I would advise listening to it along the road with headpiece like some people does, it could be dangerous when you can't hear what's happening around us along the road.

Since you've identify drinking too much soda as an addiction, then it is high time your reduce it gradually till you can totally do without it, you know it negative impact and don't want such, try and strike a balance between everything and you'll be just fine.

I think you should eat your breakfast in time and regularly as this is the most important meal of the day. You see there is always a big gap between last dinner and breakfast so why increase even further?
