Hello everyone in the #musiczone community. I'm @samuelstifan and today we continue the journey for this cool event and now entering week 104 round 2 of the MusicZone event.
This event is going very well, and the musicians here are very productive and successful in showcasing their talents or developing their skills. Here, I am excited to be creative and never give up. I am grateful for the journey that I have started and continued, making music an important part of my happiness and that of others. Hopefully my performance can bring beauty to the listeners.
For the Hive music festival, week 104, round 2, I'm performing a song called "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane. Keane is a British alternative rock band from East Sussex, formed in 1995. They met while attending Tonbridge School together. The band currently consists of Tom Chaplin (lead vocals, electric/acoustic guitar), Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, synthesizer, bass guitar, backing vocals), Richard Hughes (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Jesse Quin (bass guitar, acoustic/electric guitar, backing vocals). Their early lineup included founder and guitarist Dominic Scott, who left in 2001.

The song "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane is about the enduring power of love and memory, even in the face of loss and change. The lyrics paint a picture of a cherished relationship, a place where two people share a unique bond, a "place only we know."
The main theme of the song is the idea that true love creates a special space, a sanctuary of shared memories and experiences, that remains untouched by the passage of time. Even when life separates the two, the memory of that "place" remains, providing solace and comfort. Overall, the message of the song is about hope and resilience. Despite the pain of loss or separation, the memory of a shared space of love and connection can provide solace and comfort. It suggests that even in the face of change, the love and bond between two people can endure, offering a sense of peace and belonging.
Maybe I haven't told much about the meaning of the song and about the band Keane. I hope you enjoy the performance I'm bringing, friends. And I apologize if there is anything inappropriate in this presentation. I would also like to thank MusicZone and the team who have participated in this event. Through this event, musicians can learn a lot about the meaning of music and also interact with other musicians. Hopefully this event can continue to run smoothly and successfully in the future. That's all I can say for this week, and I hope to give more next week, thank you.
LYRICH-SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on
So, tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on
So, tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So, why don't we go somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on
So, tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So, why don't we go?
So, why don't we go?
Ooh, oh-oh
Ah, oh
This could be the end of everything
So, why don't we go somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know
Somewhere only we know
