A small garden established four centuries back
The CHESHMASHAHI Mughal Garden is a pretty small garden which was our first place to visit, coming back to Srinagar, as I stated in my last post.
The Boulevard Road that leads to the garden goes along the banks of the Dal lake, so you get a quite scenic view on your way.
There is a security check on the way and each of us had to get down and pass that gate walking. The car got scanned as well, to confirm that it does not have any luggage. That was the reason our driver took us to the hotel to drop our bags and then come here. So if you are planning to go here, make sure you do not carry your luggage in the car, else they won't allow you inside.
You have to enter through this path way and there is a small garden on the left of it - worth taking few memories.
And then we went up , where the spring is located and you get a lovely view from the top.
The spring is coming from the mountain from the back and the water seems to be clean and cold. Many tourists were even drinking it and I had to wait to take a photo. There were honey bees all around, but don't get scared.
The spring comes throw a two-storey hut, but then they do not allow going to the top. Apart from the spring, there is not a lot on the top, but whatever is there, its worth taking some snaps and relax for some time.
That tree we saw below had a lovely view on the top - quite a poster. Sitting for few minutes there and then roaming around the place to take some more photos took almost a hour. The weather felt pleasant to us, though a local guy was complaining it to be a little hot.
I was expecting more greenery around the place.
The spring has come all the way down and they have created this little fountain - natural drinking water. A vendor was asking the lady to get dressed like a Kashmiri, but we politely refused.
This is the view of the entrance from the top - some movies have been shoot here.
These flowers look like rose but they are not - some local variety. But look at the color combinations - some dazzling purple variants.
Taking a photo using the zoom when the lady and my daughter walked back.
Overall, the place is worth a quick visit and we then headed to other two nearby destinations - Pari Mahal (Fairy Palace) and the Tulip garden - more to come on them.
