And we also have Water apple that can prevent Sun stroke.

Jack fruit is usually known as the poor man's fruit, because it's produced in very large quantities and mostly used by economically weaker people, but interestingly, it has immense medicinal value, which very few realize. It's produced in so large quantities that, you can easily get it free in villages from someone. Mom knows the benefits of it and also loves to eat, so she has planted several trees in our garden, each belonging to different varieties. Some are best suited for curry ( they taste as good as chicken or mutton), some are left to be ripen. You can certainly find out a lot of health benefits of Jack fruit in the internet, but let me tell you upfront that, this poor man's fruit is richer in protein than apple and even mangoes and has lot of fiber, apart from several vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

This year, we have a lot in this plant, that was easy to access, but interestingly, many are on top branches, which I cannot reach, because climbing this tree is not a easy task.

This is from another plant, which is best variety when ripen, and they were on the very top, but thankfully, a mini wind storm landed them on the ground, and we happily ate one and gave another to a close friend. And now let me show you one last left on that plant, which is very peculiar.

Placed, exactly between two branches, can you guess how the back of it would be ?

Nature has its own rule to bring this fruit at this place - this is the back side.

Since my son is now loving this fruit, this many is cut, half of which is about to be distributed to friends. The kid feels, the taste is better than even chicken cooked in butter with a sweet flavor.

The white milk inside is very sticky, so we apply mustard oil on hand before getting them out, one can use gloves as well. And we have some techniques to take out the seed along with a small portion, that is not good for stomach. A little salt added to it, would ensure, there is not stomachache afterwards, if eaten in large quantities. And don't drink water for a hour, after eating this - it will flush out all the bad content from your stomach.

Now let me show you another lovely moderately sweet fruit from our garden.

The crunchy and juicy red water apple is very attractive in looks as well as taste, and comes in very large quantities in bunches.

Mom says, this has capability to prevent Sun stroke, and it's so tasty that, Birds eat most of them, before they are fully mature. Probably for this reason, we have lot of birds in our garden, which creates a lovely ambience.

This the white variety, which is also tasty, our neighbor has this plant and often gives us. So instead of buying expensive fruits from market, we have now adopted eating these, which provides better health benefits. More ever, they are suited for our climate, because they grow here - few understands this basic principle of Nature.

poor man's fruit in a rich man's garden :)

Definitely, I am not rich in wealth, but for sure, rich in heart.

That's exactly what I meant!

The white variety looks really tasty at the end.

I had never heard of this this fruit, let alone it's healing powers. It might be called the poor man's fruit, but it holds the poor man's strenght for survival 💪

but it holds the poor man's strenght for survival 💪

slowly rich people are discovering that :)

Nice shots! I don't think I have ever had jackfruit before. There is a guy down the road from us that has a peach tree and he gave me some a year or so ago. They were quite delicious.

I am sure, everyone will love jackfruit, either in raw or ripen. The raw is no less than marinated meat, and very very taste. The ripen has a unique aroma and buttery sweet taste, some may not like it.

Interesting!

Good morning dear friend @sanjeevm how are you?
It is incredible that this fruit has more nutrients and benefits than apples and mangoes. Your mother has been very smart when planting several Jack fruit plants in her home.
You have beautiful fruit plants there. My congratulations to your mother

I didn’t know that Jack Fruit has all this properties! I have eaten it during my travels in India and Soith West, but nobody explain me that!

Thank you!

It has capacity to heal stomach ulcer as well, nature has given us these nice gifts, and we should love them.

Wow, I don't think I've seen so many jack fruits in a tree before. I didn't even know they can grow in clumps like that. We recently harvested some mangoes and gave a lot away to family and friends. Being able to share these fruits to others is really nice.

Being able to share these fruits to others is really nice.

That is how it is in my native, people still have that value, even though they are poor. The rich people in the city, do not like to share :)

Fruits from your garden, such as water apples and jackfruit, are very beneficial to your health. Water apples protect against sunstroke, whereas jackfruit is high in nutrients. These fruits are more delicious and healthier than store-bought varieties since they are homegrown, climate-appropriate, and nutrient-dense.

Wow dear friend... I really never knew jackfruit had so many health benefits. Infact I didn't even know about them. Your garden looks so amazing as always 🥰and it's cool how you use nature very well. Fresh, homegrown fruits are the very best🥰🥰🥰 I love this wow

It’s funny how a lot of people will see the Jack fruit as a poor man’s fruit but deep down, it is highly nutritious. Well, I don’t think we have this kind of fruit in my country. I’ve never seen this before

I had jack fruit for the first time a few years ago in Thailand. It was really good.

And it has capacity to fix gut issues, and even cure stomach ulcer.

I've never tasted Jack fruit but the way you say it tastes I would love to. Many times people judge food by what it looks like from the outside, much like people judge a book by its cover.
The health benefits of this large fruit is reason enough to consume it.
The red water apples also look to be in abundance, there can never be too much grown in one's garden because you can always share with family and friends like yourself.
I hope all is well with the family, I'm sure your children are growing like weeds.

Have a splendid and happy weekend, my friend.

I hope all is well with the family, I'm sure your children are growing like weeds.

Thank you so much. Yes, all is well, kids whom we were holding in arms are getting responsible, time flies.

Us older gentleman pretty much look the same from year to year, but the children seem to change in appearance every month.

This summer everything is blooming very nicely. The jack fruit which has grown in your garden is really incredible, growing such tasty fruits in your own garden seems to be really amazing. Hope you'll enjoy it well.!!

Saludos mi amigo acá en Venezuela llamada El pan de año es una fruta muy rica yo la he probado
