Fresh mint from these mini pots
Last year, I lost my mint plants because people mercilessly took away and seems the plants did not like that and preferred to die. In my place we strongly believe that, not all people's hand goes well with plant - there are some, who have that cursed hand and if they touch your plant, it will die, no matter whatever you do. Do you believe this ?
So I borrowed few stems from Mom and bought these mini containers, to implant them and keep at home. I didn't want to plant them again in open and people taking away before they grow well - they are so merciless to invade even before they grow up well. Over time, these plants grew nicely, but they grew long not dense, usually mints grow pretty dense and the more you chop the faster they grow.
As you can see, over the time, they started climbing the window grill, and tried to become taller. They were giving a nice view and we intentionally did not allow anyone from the society coming to this room - people do not hesitate to ask to take the entire pot and saying NO is a very difficult task for us ( I am learning to say NO, but the lady never can say NO to anyone - she has a more kind heart). So we enjoyed their company for more than 2 months, she loved to take mints from here whenever needed, but then I felt, they were lacking sunlight, which is the root cause of not growing dense. Sometimes back, I fitted a CC TV to track my garden ( a whole big story with quite a few incidences, about which I will write in a separate post), so it was safe to take them to the garden, because now everyone knows, they are being watched.
As you can see, I took them out entirely and planted again.
Had one more mini spare pot and I also decided to add one big abandoned pot, so divided all the stems into four parts and planted. Just when I was doing this, someone came and said, they never will grow in these small pots - I politely said, that's ok, we will see - people never bother to give you negative energies.
And here they are after just one month - ready to be used. The lady now is saying to bring one pot and keep at home and then alternate in a week or two - sounds good to me because otherwise, I will have to go and bring when she needs. Fresh Mint gets expensive in summer, and I am planning to plant more as there won't be much to do in summer. It feels sad to let go the flowers, more to come on that......
