Hello everyone and happy month of the hearths. January has just ended and as February starts also means that it was once again time to participate for another Hive Power Up Day or HPUD for short. For those who don't know, HPUD was a @hivebuzz event that takes every first day of the month for users of the Hive Blockchain to power up at least 10 Hive without initiating any power down and in return, we can get a badge that you can check on Hivebuzz Website or when you click on the More button
on your Peakd profile. At the same time it also benefits the user by having a stronger influence on the blockchain with bigger votes on post that also boost your curation earnings. Not only that, participants of the event also gets HP delegation from hivebuzz depending on the amount of times they participate on HPUD and the amount of Hive they power up.
So far, I have participated on the even for 6 months straight and the month of February will be my 7th month of powering up which means that for the last 7 months, I haven't initiated any power down. As you can see in my wallet, I have 2,158.156
HP in my account before I did my power up.
Last month, I only staked 10 Hive for the January HPUD but for this month, I have decided to stake a total of 50 Hive. There are multiple ways to do the power up and the means that I use is through Hive Keychain.
To initiate the power up, click on your liquid Hive balance and multiple options will show up. Click on Power Up
and you will be transferred on a different form where you will input the amount of Hive that you want to stake.
Make sure that the Hive username in the receiver text box was your Hive username to power up the hive in your account and on the amount, you need to have at least 10 Hive to qualify for HPUD and that you have enough liquid hive to initiate the power up. As you can see, I have 60.907 liquid Hive and have power up 50 Hive so the transaction will surely get through. After that, I only need to press the Power Up
button to complete the transaction.
After my successful power up, I now have a total of 2222.231 HP
that is staked from my account.
Aside from that, I also participate on the Hive Power Up Month which requires to either have your rewards 100% power up or to power up at least 1 Hive daily. I choose the daily power up route and so far, I have completed 3 consecutive HPUM including last month. This means that aside from the 10 Hive that I staked for the January HPUD, I also power up another 30 Hive through daily power up for a total of 40 Hive that is powered up in my account for the month of January which can be clearly seen on this graph from Hivestats that shows my account growth for the last 30 days.
For February, If I were to complete another HPUM, I need to stake another 27 Hive through daily power ups and combined with my first power up, the total will be at least 77 Hive.
And with that, I have completed my first power up for this month. The task is quite challenging since Hive prices are in the up for most of the month but was still able to completed the task that I have for this month. Overall, my goal for this year is to achieve at least 3.5k HP and I'm still 1277.769 HP short but we still have 11 months left so I am confident that I will be able to achieve it with the help of consistent power up and increasing it organically through my post rewards.
Thank you for reading my post and see you on the next one!
This is me @saydie, signing off.
