Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
Rebellion
was the 5th major set that was introduced into Splinterlands and just like the previous sets, it has introduced a new batch of abilities to the game, expanding the variety of strategies and card synergies that we can use to win our battle. That is why it is important for us to familiarize with how this new abilities work.
And so, with the previous weeks, I did started to have my in depth review on the Rebellion abilities to know what are their weakness and which situations they prevail, and for this week's post, I will take a look on the Expose Ability
.
What is Expose Ability?
Expose
is an ability that can remove Immunity, Forcefield, Lookout, Reflection Shield, Shield, Void and Void Armor after a successful hit on the target. The chance that it will remove an ability is 80% with Immunity to always be the first ability to removed then it will be followed by a random ability when the next time that the ability takes effect. The only way to return the abilities that were removed through Expose
was by using units with Cleanse ability.
Prons
80% chance to remove Immunity, Forcefield, Lookout, Reflection Shield, Shield, Void and Void Armor after a successful attack on the opponent.
Expose will always remove Immunity first. Then, it will randomly remove either Forcefield, Lookout, Reflection Shield, Shield, Void, or Void Armor.
Reflection Shield granted by Shroud of Reflection Shield ability can also be removed with Expose.
Expose can also remove the abilities granted by the following abilities:
Shield given through Shield Ward ability.
Reflection Shield given by Shroud of Reflection Shield ability.
Cons
- Cleanse can be used to return the abilities that were removed by Expose, one ability at a time.
Best Ruleset

![]() Explosive Weaponry | All Monsters have the ![]() |
Basically, using units with Expose
works with most rulesets but you can always expect the opponent to use Immunity units during Noxious Fumes ruleset and Reflection Shield on Explosive Weaponry ruleset so Expose
can be really vital during those plays.
Cards with Lookout Ability

As of the moment, the only cards with the Expose
ability was Riklauniman which is a legendary promo card from the Hall of Legends event and the summoner Cryptic which is an airdrop summoner that can give the Expose
ability for up to two units during the Tactic Stage.
Battle Showcase
During this battle, I used the summoner Cryptic so that I could grant the Expose
ability on Djinn Oshannus and Angelic Mandarin during the Tactic Stage. This is to make sure that if the first attack did not trigger the Expose
, it will trigger the second time.
Luckily, Expose
was immediately triggered which resulted to the removal of the Void Armor on Uriel the Purifier. Otherwise, I will need to get through all of its armor since my team is mostly consist of magic units but since the Void armor is gone, I can now directly attack the opponent's health using magic.
Meanwhile, in this battle, I used Rikaluniman and immediately , it was able to Expose
Myclic Infantry by removing its Shield so melee and range attacks can now inflict full damage into it which is supposed to be only half the damage.
Following that, it attacks Grimbardun Smith and as a result, it was able to remove it's Immunity ability during round 4.
And on Round 5, it removes both the Void and Shield ability of Grimbardun Smith, making it vulnerable to all types of attacks.
You can even see on this image how it was even afflicted with Affliction, resulting for it unable to be healed.
Closing
As a new ability that comes with Rebellion, Expose
was by far my most favorite and one of the most powerful ability present in the game. Even though it does not an ability focused on increasing the attack of the unit, just with the way that it was able to make the target vulnerable so I can see why there are very few monsters that currently has this ability.
Thank you and see you at the next post.
