Today, I read @burlarj post, and although I did not feel like commenting because it brought back some painful memories that made me feel that I wanted some time alone to think about life and why human beings are so vulnerable.
No, I am not thinking of Burly. He is a very kind person whom you should get to know. Whatever your stress, Burl's logic will make you smile and forget your worries, especially the five and six logic.
I was thinking of Karma and life.
People speak and act as if there is no tomorrow. They never think of the consequences or how they will affect the people to whom they are talking. Sometimes, it may be our own parents who are seeking a bit of our attention but we forget them amidst our busy life schedules and when the time comes and they leave for their heavenly abode, we speak eloquently and say how we miss them and all but in reality, should we not have spent some time with them and provided love and care?
This is when Karma rolls out its plan. The time cycle moves forward and those who are young today will be old tomorrow. The words that we spoke yesterday will be spoken by others and then it will hurt. Hurt really bad.
So, speak wisely and think not once, not twice but many times before we speak harshly to either human or animal.
I watched some videos and I was shocked to see some people behaving strangely to animals and getting paid for views on youtube.
It was a lady who trying to fee baby monkeys. The monkeys would quarrel for the pieces of watermelon as she cut them and then she would show the viewers how they were fed properly etc.
Feeling something was amiss, I tried to read about this and googled it and to my horror, there are whole gangs of humans who capture baby monkeys, let them grow in human houses, and make videos of feeding. Meanwhile, they earn money. The baby monkeys are even dressed up in doll clothes. Later on, when they grow up, they are discarded and these babies are rejected by the monkey families and are even killed sometimes.
What an act of cruelty by the humans who do such things.
Similarly, people speak and act as if they are perfect but the truth is that all are the same when emotions are concerned. Just remember that the next time, you feel like speaking rudely to another soul.
Second chances may be rare and we have to be too good to deserve another chance.
Let us all be kind and respect others in society.
Let us also be kind to animals and birds.
Let us also remember not to pollute the waters and leave the trash to be disposed of in the right way than to fill the land and water with plastic that can choke the animals.
Life is precious for all.
Stay happy and do your duty with love.
