Today morning, @inuke shared an image that sort of struck an alarming ringtone inside my head.
The surface temperature map was completely red. The heat in the past few months has risen considerably and most people felt the discomfort. Even the people who could afford the air coolers and the air conditioners were complaining so often. It was a stinging heat and it continues.
Now, there are many ways to reduce body heat, and one such way that our forefathers told and now even the most famous nutritionist is endorsing is the Curd Rice.
Curd mixed with cooked rice and a pinch of salt with pickle or papad is very cooling for the body. You might wonder why the pickle or papad but it is to ensure that the body regains the salt that is lost through heavy sweating and such. So, why not try it?
Cook rice and let it cool. Then mix with curd as you like and a bit of table salt and eat it right away. Always remember that you should never store cooked rice, especially in the refrigerator. If you want, you can pour water and store the cooked rice for a few hours. Reheating the rice the next day can cause long-term side effects or food poisoning.
Coming back to cooling the body heat, remember to drink lots of water. Preferable, water stored in a mud pot. The pot helps cool the water naturally. Avoid refrigerated water and sodas. Avoid heavy foods that require a lot of time to digest and start to consume seasonal fruits.
The trees
The title was about the trees. How much ever we try to use artificial means to cool our bodies, there is no replacement for the trees. So, if you possibly can, try to plant tree saplings. Nurture tree saplings. Form groups and make
people to be motivated enough to plant tree saplings all over the place and the future will be bright and beautiful.
Let me not forget to mention @bala41288 who plants tree saplings and also nurtures them. It is a continued effort. He still does it and plans to include more people.
I also made a decision to plant one seed for every tree post that I write and hope to do one weekly and urge my fellow countrymen to do the same. Actually, others can also do it but I am not aware of the climatic conditions of other places, so well. That is why I referred to my country.
If you can, please plant a tree sapling every month and nurture it. You can plant in public places like parks and schools too. You can form support groups and take the tree planting to the next level.
Let us all forget our differences and make sure that the planet is safe for the coming generations. Let there be no more drastic climatic changes or nature's fury.
Our planet is unique and beautiful. Human has done enough and more damage. Let us do our bit to reverse the damage at least to the best of our abilities.

Summer is also the time when you can grow vegetables. Why not try to grow cherry tomatoes? It can be grown in pots too.
