Hail to the Hive!
I returned to our little Narrowboat ‘ Cygnet’ this week to find her gone…….well ok not where she was. Turns out to get a few repairs done and to facilitate the filling up of diesel from the fuel boat , that comes past every few weeks, we needed to position Chgnet in the slip way to give easy access.
There’s always something quite nice about the changes in scenery and location, no matter how brief, that you get with boat life.
And of course these fresh perspectives stimulate the photography muscles as well.
This part of the marina has a more work type feel as it’s where maintenance is done and boats are hauled out of the water in order to do repairs on the hull of propeller etc. no point getting wet if you don’t need to.
We only got to spend a night here ( well a couple of nights for Milly as she is on the boat full time at the moment but I am only on it on my off days. The days were bright clear and fresh though and I was left feeling happy to be back on the boat and sad that it would only be for a couple of days. This will change soon enough.
The light and the skies played ball though, providing me with some lovely images to capture and share.
Can’t beat boat life and as you know I do….
