It seems the algorithm for impressions at YouTube is similar to crypto charts. A blow off top leads to a crash. Steadily upwards is much healthier.

Hmmmm It's hard because my goal isn't massive success, I just want a following that is large enough to create a community around and I'm still working on it but from all my studying the algorithms, I'd say don't think about the algorithm too much, just make what you like and think about 1 title, 2 thumbnail, 3 a video that is interesting, and focus on the kind of person you want to watch the video, not EVERYONE.
Kind of generic advice but good to start with.
Don't have high expectations or burn yourself out either! And don't get too excited about a few videos doing good. It's very fickle.
Keep going mate... if you can afford the time, and you have or find the people to support you. It will come...
I have had figured the algo for a long time... but unfortunately, its not something I enjoy. So, keen on supporting others.
