Hello friends of the hive, I write very excited this time because I come to share with you some postcards from Labitconf this year 2024, an event that took place in Costa Salguero, it is the most important crypto event at the national level, there are many posts dedicated to it. The same thing that they effectively portray better than I could do in a thousand lifetimes perhaps, so I will rather leave you my experience and appreciation, it was a colossal spectacle where you could learn and get informed due to the large number of conferences shared by charismatic influencers and stands of new and well-known apps.
Costa Salguero is a very important event venue but difficult to access, it is well hidden in the port; The first day I arrived relatively quickly, at least faster than the second day, I went by train and asked two people at the pickup terminal if they knew where certain buses that were heading to the place stopped, they answered that they were going there to my surprise and good fortune because they made my journey a lot easier, it turns out that they work in a financial company so we exchanged contacts and hopefully soon they will be part of hive. I arrived and without delay went to look for my dearest friend and computer mentor @cre47iv3, an endearing character to whom I owe for making me known and participating in these digital adventures. Always with one foot and looking to the future.
I found the Hive Argentina team, it was very emotional for me, since I had come from reading them on the platform and in WhatsApp chats but I did not know any of them formally and in person, in those two days I was able to speak with @palabras1, @numa26 , among others, wonderful and enthusiastic people who were eager to meet and talk face to face, the second day it took me a thousand years to arrive, it was horrible, I was already arriving for the afternoon shift and even so I was late, I waited almost 44 minutes to the only 8 that arrived in Salguero, which had to be detoured by the pride march, luckily I arrived anyway, although late but safe and I found the Hive band sitting outside having lunch, we caught up, and since @starkerz was in The group informed me about how to use @distriator and I made my first payment from the platform with hbd, it is planting seeds for the future everything related to crypto in Argentina but if even I have access to this type of technology I can assure you that it is quite widespread and accessible.
Attending the talk given by @arlette deserves a separate paragraph, so clear and focused, it was a pleasure to know her history and development in the field as well as the motivations that push her to travel the world between conventions and conferences helping to disseminate and bring people together like me (who are far from the tech world), this new way of capitalizing our income among other things.
The best part for me is still having been able to share the time, the math, the emotion and the project with such adorable, enthusiastic, fun and kind people, having met the souls behind the @'s and being able to take inspiration from them to continue learning and growing in these communities that are a new, unknown and wonderful world, which always has something good to offer.
