Beautiful and Sublime Sunday- Starting the Month of October 2023 Right

Yesterday, the best friend of my classmate came all the way from the US to Dubai. We picked her up at the airport and headed to the hotel where they were checked in to leave the luggage. From there, we went to eat in a hot pot restaurant. They gave us a room with a Karaoke machine. After eating, my other friends were just singing. And, suddenly it was my turn, this was my first time singing in front of them, I got shocked with my personality because I usually don't perform in front of people and I get a lot of anxiety, I would also usually sweat in those situations. I'm glad that I didn't and I hope that I was in tune while I was singing but I enjoyed it. I'm shocked that I didn't do it without drinking any alcohol. We left the place around 1 a.m. and dropped off our friends because they were still going to go out. After dropping them off, and we were on our way home, my classmate called and asked us if her friend left her phone, and she really did, so we had to go back to them and give it.

Then we finally headed home, but the saddest part was looking for a parking space, it was really difficult and it was already around 2 in the morning. I think we were looking for a spot for around 20 minutes. My friend, just decided to park it in the corner because we were already tired. Went home and I got ready for bed, but I ended up speaking with my girlfriend til around 4 in the morning.

I then woke up around 11 in the morning and was just using my phone and laptop. My roommate suddenly woke up and asked if I had eaten already I said no and he asked me if I wanted to eat and said sure. We then drove off to a Restaurant called Asian Mix. We ordered bulalo, with rice and a bottle of water. Their serving is huge. I actually missed eating this and eating bone marrow. When I slurped the bone marrow, I just felt the fat rushing to my head haha. I enjoyed eating. After that, we headed home on our way home, we saw an accident, where a car bumped into a pole. Then got home and rested a bit.

I was resting too long and forgot the bus timings. I then got ready to go to church. I was late already for the buses so I decided to walk to a really far bus stop so it would bring me to the metro earlier. But I had to walk it and it was a bit hot and I was so sweaty when I got to the bus stop. Thankfully I only had to wait for a few minutes before going inside the bus. I then took the train to the station where the church is located.

The last station before the church, where the red and green lines interchanged. It was my first time encountering so many people, that the door of the train almost closed on the person in front of me. I was able to take the next train, and then walked to the church, unfortunately, I wasn't able to sit inside the church, because it was full so I was in the hall. I was wondering why the mass hadn't started yet, but it was a bit late because they forgot to broadcast it inside the hall. After mass, there were so many people, that I wasn't used to it, especially going towards the metro, it felt like a can of sardines.

I was deciding on where to go and I ended up going to the Mall of the Emirates. I went there to look around and I ended up trying this Lebanese restaurant in the food court where they serve twin shawarma with fries and Pepsi. The shawarma was chicken and beef. I enjoyed eating them both. I then went to the grocery to buy myself lunch for tomorrow and had something printed. I then went out of the mall and saw the bus that I"was going to ride was approaching, I then ran towards the other side, a good thing was that it was traffic and the pedestrian lights were green. I was able to take a bus and I was just listening to music during my whole ride. I then got home and was able to speak with my classmate and was also able to do the laundry.

It was a nice start to the month, but I'm already feeling this mixed emotions that I'm going to be leaving soon. So right now, I'm just making the most out of it. May you all have a great month ahead!!!!!
