Introduction

On Sunday, I went out to eat with some friends. We went to a Korean restaurant called Mantap! My friend wanted to support his friend's business. His friend showed up and helped take care of our table. Surprisingly, I found out that his friend was actually in the same degree course as me when I was still studying in University.

Mantap is a KBBQ that is located in TTDI and this is their only branch at the moment. They are Muslim friendly so they don't have pork so that can be a dealbreaker for those that love pork belly. This BBQ is based on set and ala carte; they do not have a buffet option. The place is well decorated and renovated. It was a pleasant atmosphere as you can see from the photo above. They also played some nice Korean music. I'm not sure how long their opening promotion is going for but I think it's worth giving this place a try with the 30% off on BBQ sets.

Food

We ordered a couple beef set to share among the three of us. We ordered green tea as the drink because that was the only drink that was refillable. The sides were also refillable as well. We got the seafood soup and they had crab and some clans. Their beef is from Australia or New Zealand. The best part is we didn't have to cook the meat. There was a waiter that cooked the beef in butter and cooked it to a perfect medium. I would've wanted medium rare but it's ok; I just went along with what my friends wanted. My friend ordered the ramen as well and he let me try some of it. It's ramen so you can't really go wrong there. You may see on the receipt later that we had to order more beef. A fourth person came and there wasn't enough meat. It was a bit of blunder because it was an add on and not part of the set. We should've just ordered another set as it would've been cheaper and I think it would've been more beef as well.

Concluding Thoughts

My friend took this photo of the receipt. He paid and we banked in our share to him.

Honestly, I enjoyed the beef here. It's not better than Wagyu but I think it's good for the price. It's a bit expensive and a part of it is probably because of the area. A lot of the food at TTDI is slightly priced higher than average. I would definitely be down to eat at this restaurant again but since it's a bit pricy I wouldn't go too often. If you're in Malaysia, I hope you can give this restaurant try and support. I have left photos of the menu below in case you're interested. That's all from me for this eating out post until my next food adventure!

Thank you for reading and the support. Please do share your eating out moments in the eating out community! Hoping to grow this community.
