Some Guilty Pleasures

in #hive-1688697 days ago

In life, everybody has their own guilty pleasures. I'm no different and today I want to share some of the things I enjoy in life. I'm sure there will be more in the future but these are the ones at the moment.

I love food. Food is love; food is life. Food is something that we all need and I believe it's more than a means to survival. It's meant to be enjoyed. If I'm only going to live once, I want to make sure I'm eating good until I'm gone. I love trying different places and different kinds of food as long as it's not too exotic. I've been sharing my eating out adventures at least once a week where I share my experience of trying a new restaurant. My top three favorite food is steak, sushi and Korean BBQ. I'm glad I was exposed to many different kinds of food when I was younger thanks to my mom.

Something I have been enjoying for the last three months is pickleball. I've been playing pickleball once a week since November and I've gotten hooked into the sport. Playing pickleball reminded me of my tennis days. I love how the game is easy to start playing for newcomers. If it was tennis it's not as easy since there's a lot more technique needed to have decent rallies. I will be playing tomorrow and I'm actually excited to play. I will probably become one of the weirdest players because I am now going to use two backhands to play and I won't have a forehand at all! I found out from playing on Friday that a two handed forehand (which is like a lefty backhand) had a lot more control than my forehand for some reason so I might just stick to that.

One of my guilty pleasures is anime! I love watching anime and it's something I love to do to pass time when I'm free. I've been watching anime since I was a kid. I started out with Pokémon and from there to toonami animes. Now, I just watch online. I know that there's this perception that people that like anime are weird. Honestly, some people are weird but that can be for any interest. As much as I like anime, I'm not up to the point where I go buy anime merchandise and cosplay etc. I just like to watch and talk about it with people that also share this same interest.

Another one of my guilty pleasures is gaming. I've been gaming since I was a kid. I started with a gameboy > gamecube > Gameboy advanced > Nintendo DS > Wii > PS3 now I'm just mostly on PC. I used to be crazy addicted and played tons of hours. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time now since I'm an adult. I still like to play now and then but there are just more things up on the priority list in life.

The last thing I enjoy is spending time with family and friends. My family visited in December and I had a great time spending time with them. Apparently, I'm the crazy one that decided to live in Malaysia while they are all at America. Anyways, I will see them again next year. I still get to hang out with the family that is here in Malaysia for Chinese New Year which starts in two days! In addition to that, I like to hang out with friends. I don't have a lot of friends but it's nice to hangout outside and eat something or just chat with my online friends about similar interests.

Well these are all the things I enjoy now. I wonder what will change in the future. What about you, what do you enjoy? Do you enjoy any of the things I enjoy?

Fuiyoh your cover pic make me hungry again! Nice sharing

Haha bro u like pho?

Yes sir! Best on cold days

ramen or pho haha

Your post just reminds me of how much i want to explore new restaurants and try out new food this year and I hope I stick to my word 😅. I love your content so much 🥰

Awesome! I hope you stick to it. It's not that hard to do . You can start with cheaper places if you hAve some financial strain. Thank you so much!

That first dish seems to taste very tasty, it made me hungry to see it, and it looks very Asian or Korean food, I've seen them eat something similar.I hope it's not too spicy...I know you guys like spicy food.
I'd still be glad if it's not.

You have your own generation's tastes, anime, video games, and some physics game....y seem super cool to me...some kids in my city also love anime, but the truth is I haven't seen many, and I know there are some that are real gems.

And I know you love to go out to eat and explore diversity of culinary flavors...and that's also very exciting...and I love it just the same, but I have it on hold for a while due to stomach problems...and nothing else for that reason I see your entree dish and my mouth waters...🤪😂

Big greetings to you...smart guy.

🌞🌞🌞

Yes it's asian. The first dish is pho which is vietnamese noodles haha. It's normally rice noodles and beef for the meat and I think beef broth. It's actually not spicy. I'm not sure how to explain the taste though but you can try it one day.

Oh then what's your generation of anime, games and stuff? Just curious. What anime have you seen? You said you seen some

You should also give it a shot! Try something new to eat every month and maybe you'll like it?

I am never good with sports that requires a bat and on the receiving end. 😅
And pickleball is still non existence in my bucket list.
However I believe this is really becoming a really popular sport among the young adults

just try. it's not that hard

Not just young adults haha even older adults. Can see even elderly playing 50-70+ also can play no problem

I think my area subang jaya alone got like 7-8 court sites open in the last two months or even more than that
