Who That

It's been ten years since I graduated from high school. I was class of 2014 of Folsom High School. I remember being able to walk to my high school and back home. Honestly, I don't remember much of my high school life. I wasn't a popular kid; I was the unpopular kid. I didn't have that many friends and I think I would consider myself as a bit of a loner. I tried to keep a low profile. I was someone that didn't like attention and even the present me doesn't like attention.

To be frank, I was antisocial and a bit socially awkward. I was below average in terms of height in high school. I wore glasses and I had no sense of fashion. I just wore whatever clothes my mom bought for me. At the time, there was this stereotype that Asians were smart but I didn't feel that way back then. I think I was quite average compared to the other Asians that were super good at instruments and getting good GPAS. Not to be racist but my high school was dominantly white people and there were definitely some that had something against Asians. I'm not too sure why; it could've been due to their family or maybe they were jealous.

I didn't buy any of the yearbooks so I don't have any pictures of back then. I also remember deleting my old Facebook account so I couldn't really find anything. High school wasn't the best of memories for me. Until now, I've only stayed in contact with one person and it's not even consistent. We just talk every now and then but he was good to me during high school so it's cool to talk with him about life and anime once every blue moon.

Anyways I'm glad I graduated and out of there. High school was such a small part of my life and I don't miss it at all. What about you? How was high school for you?

Hmm, common story. Are those the glasses you wore in high school? Was your high school in Asia?

High school, which we call secondary school here in Nigeria was pretty normal for me. You know, these prompts have you thinking about things in perspectives that you never really thought to view them from. Now that I think about it, I was actually known in school. I can't say popular because it has a different/ notorious tone to it, but uh, I was not in the shadows. This comment is turning into a post, haha. Maybe I should just participate, yeah?
