I managed to bake some scones the afternoon before I was scheduled for surgery. I knew that I would not be able to do things on my own while recuperating from surgery.
There were lots of instructions. I swear the person who wrote the instructions had many things on her mind. She was all over the place, to the point that it was hard to understand.
I had hired private care (Nurse Assistant) to accompany me to the hospital and all throughout the time that I would need her. She is still with me at the moment.
I received a birthday package from @elizabethbit!
It arrived exactly on my birthday, which made my day extra special!

My sorority sisters surprised me with a tiny party at home on my birthday! They brought all the food from a dim sum place!!! And cake, and ice cream! Yum!
They brought Salt-Pepper Shrimps and Fried Anchovies..
Two types of Chinese noodles: Chow Fun and Chow Mein...
Roasted Duck and Stean Chicken with Ginger and Scallion Dressing...
Sparerib with black Bean Sauce and Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce
Fried Shrimp Ball and Steam BBQ Pork Buns...
And an assortment of other dim sum foods!
and Ice Cream. The flavors are amazing!!!
And Mango Cake!
