Our parish community is currently in the process of constructing a new church building.

In the meantime, the parish is creatively utilizing available spaces like the gymnasium of a nearby school to hold Mass. Additionally, the Parish Center is being used for various activities, including community gatherings, religious education classes, meetings, and other parish events, like the Afternoon Tea.

This improvisation showcases the flexibility and dedication of the parish community to maintain their faith practices and communal activities despite the ongoing construction. It also reflects a sense of adaptability and resourcefulness, ensuring that the spiritual and social needs of the congregation are met during this transitional period.

If you follow me, I showed you pictures of the constructions and some of our fundraising efforts.

Using events like a crab feed for fundraising is such a great idea. Not only do you raise funds for the construction of your parish, but you also get to enjoy delicious food and bring people together for a fun and social occasion.

These fundraising events typically have a festive atmosphere, with community members volunteering their time and effort to cook, serve, and organize the event. It's also an excellent opportunity for everyone to connect, build relationships, and strengthen the sense of community.

There's been a lot of exciting progress on the construction of our church.

After 132 days of construction

Wow, in just 132 days, you can already see significant progress. It's incredible how much can be accomplished in a relatively short period of time. It's clear that a lot of hard work and dedication are going into building our parish.

You can imagine the excitement and anticipation within our community as we witness the transformation of the construction site. Seeing the structure take shape is be very inspiring.

Yesterday was a milestone.

As the construction crew was putting up the steel beams over the pulpit, we had the opportunity to sign our names on the steel beams that would become a permanent part of a sacred place.

It was a chance to leave our mark—literally—on the foundation of our parish's future.

What a meaningful tradition! Signing our names on the steel beams that will support the sacred space of your new church adds a beautiful and personal touch to the construction.

Imagine that for years to come, every beam will hold not just the weight of the building but also the hopes, prayers, and dedications of every person who took part in this ceremony.

It's moments like these that transform a mere construction project into a labor of love and faith.

Our signatures, prayers, and blessings will be a lasting testament to our faith and unity as a parish family.

In gratitude and anticipation for the beautiful new home we are building for worship, community, and faith.
