A lot of people are into the low carb, high protein lifestyle for various reasons, such as weight management, muscle gain, or overall health. This approach often includes foods like lean meats, fish, eggs, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, while reducing the intake of carbohydrates like bread, pasta, and sugary snacks.
A low-carb diet often eliminates refined carbs and starchy foods.
Refined carbohydrates are processed to remove fiber, vitamins, and minerals, which often makes them less nutritious such as white bread, pastries and sweets,
white rice which is polished and stripped of its bran and germ, pasta, sugary cereals, snacks, sugary drinks, candy and chocolate, and processed foods.
In place of starchy foods and refined carbs in the diet, are vegetables and certain fruits, focusing on high-protein intake. Many high-protein foods do contain fat, which is perfectly fine, especially when they are healthy fats like those found in avocados, nuts, and fatty fish.

I usually prepare this wrap twice a month. It's made with cottage cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. You can put any seasoning that you like. I like mine simple!
Ingredients
1 cup Cottage Cheese (I used low fat)
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Blend cottage cheese, egg whites, and seasonings until smooth.
- Line a quarter sheet pan with parchment paper, spray with cooking spray, and pour the mixture onto the parchment.
- Spread it thinly and bake for 30-35 minutes or until it’s cooked through and golden brown in spots.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Carefully peel the wrap from the parchment paper.
- Fill with your favorite ingredients.
I found rotisserie chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes in my refrigerator, so that's what I decided to use.
I placed the sliced chicken first on the wrap...
Followed by the shredded lettuce and tomato slices.
Then I rolled it up! The cottage cheese wrap is flexible and easy to roll.
It comes out perfect every time!
The texture is soft and bread-like, with a subtle, delicious flavor that doesn't overpower with cottage cheese.
What makes this simple cottage cheese wrap recipe great is its versatility—you can easily customize it to your taste. Use it as a wrap, flatbread, or even sandwich bread.
I enjoy eating cottage cheese by itself, but for those who aren't fans of its texture, this simple recipe is worth trying.
Although it requires a bit of baking time, starting the prep about 30 minutes before lunchtime should be just right!
