The Bethlehem Nativity Silver Round

The Nativity scene captures the heart of the Christmas story. Imagine a beautiful depiction of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in the manger and gentle animals adding to the peaceful ambiance. Each brings a layer of meaning and tradition, making this Bethlehem Nativity silver round a treasured addition to my collection.

This silver round was produced by the Scottsdale Mint.

Along with the words "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" from Luke 2:14, the Scottsdale Mint Lion, weight, and purity are all depicted on the obverse.

With Mary and Joseph on either side of the baby Jesus in the manger, the reverse portrays the scenario in a typical Christian manner. Stars abound, including the Star of Bethlehem above it all, and there are palm branches and livestock close by.

The Star of Bethlehem is such a significant and iconic symbol in the Christmas story. The star itself symbolizes hope, guidance, and the miraculous, leading the wise men to the birthplace of Jesus.

The Bethlehem Nativity silver round features a really meaningful song around the rim. It is written in Greek, which translates in English "Today, the virgin bears Him who is transcendent, and the earth presents the cave to Him who is beyond reach."
It is a great way to describe the miraculous birth of Jesus.

One of the most distinctive ways to commemorate the season is to collect silver coins, bars, and rounds with Christmas designs. They not only give your Christmas décor a unique touch, but they also create fantastic mementos that you will treasure for years to come.

42 years ago this bakery plugged in their Commodore 64s to use as cash registers at Hilligoss Bakery in Brownsburg, Indiana, and are still in use.

The POS system is written in BASIC and has never had no problems, no hackers and no internet.

It will out last all of us.
