An happy Sunday to you all and an happy first day of October! Here it's a wonderful sunny day and this morning there are some beautiful butterflies all around the flowers of the ivy in my backyard. There are also a lot of bees and I can smell the pollen in the air like during the Springtime.
During these days I decided to give a sencond chance to some bad xylographies I made a couple of months ago. Before to my solo exhibition I made some xylographies (you can read about them here ). I gave away the best ones, but I had some of them that were not good enough (I had some "issues" stamping them) and so I decided to use them as bases for something I've never tried: to use my oil colors to paint something on a simple xylography in black and white.
In the following pics you can see the final result of the first 3 ones:
It was awesome to add delicate leaves and delicate lace collar to the piece that were not good enough. At the end, I like this one more than te original (good) xylographies I made. ^_^
I also took some pics while I was adding leaves and collars to them so you can see the process too:
I hope you like them as the same way I liked to make them!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
