Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all! I'm very excited to day, because later I'll go to Bologna, a city I love so much not so far from my city (1 hour and half by train). I'll go there with my hubby @paolobeneforti to meet a friend of us who is a known illustrator and a very nice person. I think I'll take some pics during my visit so I'll share them wit you in my next content.
Now I'm here to show you the second "exercise" I did yesterday in a style that reminds the Middle Age miniatures on the books called "bestiaries".
As I wrote in my previous content (you can read it here) I started to study the pictures of this kind of ancient book to improve my hands and my imagination and this morning I decided to try to paint one of my usual favorite subject (a deer) in that ancient style. I'm trying to mix that style to mine and you can see the final result in the following pics:
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A6 size and I'm satisfied by the result. I had fun to image and paint it, so I think I'll make some other similar ones. ^_^
As usual, I took some pics wile I was painting it on my small working table, so you can see the steps of the process:
Maybe I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom) to understand if my customers will appreciate this new series of artworks by me. ^_^
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
