Hello dearest friends,
Honestly, today I didn't know what to share here in the community. Then, while browsing through my phone's gallery, I remembered that yesterday during my lunch break, I visited a field near the Crete Senesi not far from Siena, where a lady has transformed it into a tulip field.
I was quite intrigued by this, although I must confess I'm not particularly fond of flowers. Nevertheless, it was a very unusual sight, at least in Tuscany. Typically, in these parts, fields of lavender in the French style are more common, but I had never seen a tulip field before.
So, during my lunch break, I decided to pay a visit and took some photos. Honestly, I didn't even want to share them because they didn't seem so interesting to me, but I still want to share my opinion on this.
They say there are nearly 80,000 tulips here, and essentially, you pay a kind of ticket and can pick tulips to take home. It's certainly something I learned by visiting this place. And then, my friends, you must understand that I have absolutely no green thumb for these things. I realized that there are practically countless species of tulips that bloom at different times, which was news to me because I thought there was only one species.
But what do I really think about this?
Well, from a scenic perspective, I think it's a nice touch to bring this touch of Holland to this area of the Crete Senesi. However, in the end, the visit to this place didn't excite me all that much. I see it as a form of business that this person is rightfully doing. Moreover, I could see that they also organize events within this tulip field, including yoga classes, or if one wishes, they can celebrate their birthday there.
Again, from my point of view, it's not as exciting as a visit. Surely, it's better to visit some beautiful villages that Tuscany has to offer!
Thank you for reading this post. I'd really like to know what you think of this trend that has infected Italy for several years, that of tulip fields, and if it's also widespread around the world. I'll see you in the next post and wish you all a good day!
