Luego de una larga ausencia, les saludo hoy martes 6 de Junio de 2023, y regreso en este día para el Three Tune Tuesday, (la mejor iniciativa de música en Hive), para compartirles tres canciones de cantantes venezolanos dedicadas a la Naturaleza, a la Madre Tierra, y esto lo hago porque ayer lunes 5 de Junio se celebró el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, iniciativa que se viene celebrando desde 1973 por el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA).
After a long absence, I greet you today, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, and I return on this day for Three Tune Tuesday, (the best music initiative in Hive), to share three songs by Venezuelan singers dedicated to Nature, to Mother Earth, and I do this because yesterday, Monday, June 5, World Environment Day was celebrated, an initiative that has been celebrated since 1973 by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
Creo que el día del medio ambiente es todos los días; sin embargo es importante la existencia de ciertas fechas que llamen la atención a las personas sobre temas importantes, y nada más importante que la integridad del medio ambiente. Pienso que nosotros somos una parte de la naturaleza; no es que estamos aquí y que el planeta nos pertenece, y que está para servirnos, NADA MÁS LEJOS DE ESO; sino que la Tierra es nuestra casa, y nosotros somos uno de sus múltiples habitantes, con derechos iguales a los que tienen el resto de las especies. También quiero aclarar que no estoy muy convencida, de que la actividad humana sea la única causa del calentamiento global, sino que se suman otros factores, pero sí sé que como especie, hemos cometidos atrocidades con nuestro hogar, con nuestra madre: La Tierra. Así que quise aprovechar para recordar y celebrar esta fecha, y a la vez también quiero invitarles a la comunidad Plant Power (Vegan), en donde hemos organizado un concurso comunitario relacionado con la reutilización. I believe that the day of the environment is every day; however, it is important to have certain dates that draw people's attention to important issues, and nothing more important than the integrity of the environment. I think that we are a part of nature; it is not that we are here and that the planet belongs to us, and that it is there to serve us, NOTHING FAR FROM THAT; rather, the Earth is our home, and we are one of its multiple inhabitants, with rights equal to those of the rest of the species. I also want to clarify that I am not very convinced that human activity is the only cause of global warming, but that other factors are added, but I do know that as a species, we have committed atrocities with our home, with our mother: the Earth. So I wanted to take the opportunity to remember and celebrate this date, and at the same time I also want to invite you to the Plant Power (Vegan) community, where we have organized a community contest related to reuse. Pienso también que la mayoría de los acuerdos, leyes, convenios y similares que han sido celebrados entre los países del mundo, son en su mayoría LETRA MUERTA, sólo palabras vacías que no se llevan a la práctica, que no se concretan, y que sólo sirven de propaganda para ciertas instituciones y no más. Por eso les invito a que cada uno de ustedes reflexione a diario, respecto a cómo están afectando a la naturaleza, porque fuera del planeta no hay en donde vivir (al menos para la gran mayoría), y si estropeamos nuestro hogar nos quedamos sin él. Así que traten de dar un poco más de amor hacia esta única y especial casa, con buenos hábitos, con respeto al entorno y compasión para el resto de la creación. Dicho esto vamos a ver mis canciones de hoy #ttt.
I also think that most of the agreements, laws, conventions and the like that have been concluded between the countries of the world are, for the most part, DEAD LETTER, just empty words that are not put into practice, that do not materialize, and that only they serve as propaganda for certain institutions and no more. That is why I invite each one of you to reflect on a daily basis, regarding how you are affecting nature, because outside the planet there is nowhere to live (at least for the vast majority), and if we spoil our home we will be left without it. So try to give a little more love to this unique and special house, with good habits, respect for the environment and compassion for the rest of creation. En un post previo les hablé de Evio Di Marzo y su Adrenalina Caribe, y esta canción con la que abro mi #ttt de hoy, es precisamente de ellos, y se titula “Selva del Tiempo“, canción que fue incluida en el LP Pico y Pala del año 1980. Es una hermosa canción, con un interesante arreglo musical, y un ritmo alegre muy característico de esta banda, la cual habla de la selva, de su antigüedad, de su belleza y de los habitantes primigenios de ella: Los indígenas, y también es una canción que nos advierte de no querer dominarla por avaricia, haciendo una alusión al tema de la minería, una actividad terriblemente dañina y depredadora del medio ambiente. and this song with which I open my #ttt today, is precisely theirs, and is entitled “Jungle of Time”, a song that was included on the LP Pico y Pala from 1980. It is a beautiful song, with an interesting musical arrangement, and a happy rhythm that is very characteristic of this band, which talks about the jungle, its antiquity, its beauty and its original inhabitants: the indigenous people, and it is also a song that warns us not to want to dominate it out of greed, making an allusion to the subject of mining, a terribly harmful and predatory activity of the environment. Mi siguiente canción es de una artista venezolana, que fue muy famosa en la década de 1980 e incluso tempranos 90’s, llamada Elisa Rego, quien tenía una hermosa y dulce voz, y tuvo varios éxitos en esas décadas. La canción que traje se llama también “Selva”. Esta melodía es muy bella, la forma en que la cantante la entona, la pasión que le pone, y la interesante sección de metales que tiene, la convierten en una hermosa y rara joya. Su letra también es muy interesante, quizás algo dark, pero plantea una necesidad que yo comprendo muy bien, y es la de estar conectados con la naturaleza, con lo verde, de no estar presos en concreto, sino en comunión con la Madre Tierra.
My next song is by a Venezuelan artist, who was very famous in the 1980s and even early 90s, called Elisa Rego , who had a beautiful and sweet voice, and had several hits in those decades. The song I brought is also called “Jungle”. This melody is very beautiful, the way the singer intones it, the passion she puts into it, and the interesting brass section it has, make it a beautiful and rare jewel. His lyrics are also very interesting, perhaps a little dark, but they raise a need that I understand very well, and that is to be connected with nature, with the green, not to be specifically imprisoned, but in communion with Mother Earth.
Y para finalizar este #ttt, les he traído una canción de un estupendo músico venezolano, como es Frank Quintero, un cantante y compositor de larga trayectoria, que se mantiene activo aunque ya tiene 70 años de edad, y quien compuso esta canción llamada “Madre Tierra”, siendo incluida en su disco “Agua Dulce” del año 2001. Si bien no es la canción más hermosa de él, es una melodía que en su letra nos hace un llamado de atención, algo en lo cual debemos pensar a diario: Cuidar a la naturaleza, al planeta, y no anteponer intereses económicos o de otro tipo para vulnerar a la Madre Tierra. And to end this #ttt, I have brought you a song by a stupendous Venezuelan musician, such as Frank Quintero, a singer-songwriter with a long career, who is still active although he is already 70 years old, and who composed this song called “Mother Earth” , which was included on his album “Agua Dulce” in 2001. Although it is not his most beautiful song, it is a melody that in its lyrics makes us a wake-up call, something we must think about on a daily basis: Take care of nature, the planet, and not put economic or other interests before harming Mother Earth.
