Hello my beautiful friends!!
Good morning to you all hope you all are doing perfectly fine, I was equally fine too not until I was struck down with serious malaria and thyroid that took me off air for sometime now it was so serious that I just had to take a break from my usual routine to just let my brain calm and reprocess so I was restricted I think it’s up to a month or two have been off air but I missed you guys tho 😭😫 but it’s all good am back now for good thank God all is well now but seriously guys I need you prayers always thank you. I was just left so weak and helpless although I could have reached out but you know mom and there seriousness in a thing she actually took my phone away from me so I wouldn’t have access to anything so that will course me to rest. I was also unable to work throughout that period or any hard job cause the headache and pains I was having was so severe and out of proportion and I had some jobs I needed to finish doing that period too for my client, I was I was supposed to deliver to him before tomorrow some weeks back before I fell ill. As you know today is a new week and and today marks the beginning of a new week of creativity I trust my needleworkers who has never disappointed me with there concepts always top notch so I can’t wait to feed my eyes 🤪.
So my client attended wedding function on Friday last week, by so doing I just had to make sure his outfit was ready for him to use so he could attend his function and I will be free of much worries 😂 or guilt of disappointing him. In other for such occurrences I just had to force myself to complete it despite my health challenge, thank God I did. Adding to the list last week has been so super tough for me I had to get lots of things fixed and running around too to complete the cloth I piled up for months because of my health maybe that contributed to my sudden illness, seeing the much work I’ll have to make 🤦🤦but thank God am fine now and I trust I’ll be completely better soon.
So friends it’s my pleasure to share with you all an outfit I just completed last week for my client to use it to a wedding. so guys stay connected to your preferred brand @smilestitches while I take you on a very interesting adventure
My Sewing equipments:
- Champagne color fabric
- A banana yellow fabric
- Brown fabric
- Light collar gum
- Matching thread
- Light soft gum
My Sewing processes:
Firstly:
I lay the champagne fabric, bend and drew out the measurement of my client on it and I cut it out, after that I used the already cut out front to cut out the rest part of the cloth like the both sleeves and the back view.
Secondly:
I took out the front view, iron out a straight line at the middle to indicate the middle so I would follow my line there and make sure whatever design I’ll be making on the front would be straight.
Thirdly:
After the ironing, I took the light collar gum and I cut size of 0.9inches and the length was 11inches that was for the first one so I did Same for the second one too that is going to be inside and after that I took the remaining champagne color fabric and I gum the gum to fabric, bend and cut it out. Now after that I used it to prepare the front flap and I made sure it’s was very neat too. The flap was fixed down to 11inches then I cut the banana color fabric, size of 11inches, length of 9inches and I added the light gum to the back view and I bend it and place it just where the flap ended down.
That was done and I cut the brown fabric out (no measurement) I just used a pattern to do bring out the shape and I iron it and place it in front at the top of the front and sew it to the front where the flap is and I took it for the drawing on the front, there’re people who specialize on that so I took it to a friend I know.
Fourthly:
The guy did the drawing so well and Brought it to me few hours later.
I just joined the back to the front trimmed the shoulder and added the sleeve which was a 3quarter hand and I joined the both side to the body measurement of my client, I piped the neck and that was how I finished the outfit and I bend the length and the cloth was ready.
