Rejection means when someone says no or doesn't accept or approve of something. It can be really tough
People handle rejection in various ways. Everyone have been rejected at one point or the other because rejection is part of life, even adults rejects kids sometimes.

How people handle and see rejection is what I will be writing about today. Last month, I did one of the most arduous interview in my life, it was a virtual interview and it took over four hours to complete it which we will get the result after a week. I got my result and I was rejected for the role. I was deeply hurt but not hurt again at the same time because of the way I have always handled rejection or failure.

For me immediately after I was through with the interview, I immediately expected the worse to happened which is being rejected, and when it happened I wasn’t that hurt cause I had projected it to be like that.

Now, I hope you don’t get me wrong while reading this, projecting that I was rejected doesn’t mean I did not do my best, it doesn’t mean I didn’t believe in myself, and, it doesn’t mean I wasn’t best for the role either, its just my way to console myself if what I expected didnt happen. I started this ever since I noticed rejections literally breaks me down and hurts me like an heart break which is why I have devised this method and so far, it has always help me cope with rejections.

For some people they handle their rejections by being aggressive, some people just zone out and stop interacting till they get better. Dealing with rejection can be really tough, here are a few ways to handle it.

1)Don’t take it personally.

2).Give yourself time to process the feelings and heal.

3). Stay active by interacting and engaging in activities that make you happy.

4). Reflect on the situation and see it as an opportunity to learn.

5). Reach out for support from friends, families.

The way people handle rejections will always be different and there is no formula to how to handle it but it is best to know that rejection doesn’t define us. I will be glad if we can share how we all handle our rejections.
