Good morning and Happy Valentines day to you all out there.
Today, I'll be talking about Art.
As we all know,Art lives for decades and even centuries,so I can categorically say that Art has a heart because it lives on and on.
Today,I will be focusing on handicraft Art in different shapes and sizes.

The terms for handicrafts include artisanry, crafting, and handcrafting. The word arts and crafts is also applied.
Handicraft has its roots in rural crafts, the material-goods necessities—of ancient civilizations, and many specific crafts have been practiced for centuries, while others are modern inventions or popularizations of crafts was originally practiced in a small geographic area.

Alot of handcrafters use natural, even entirely indigenous, materials while others may prefer modern, non-traditional materials, and even recycle industrial materials. An Individual artisan of a handcrafted item is the paramount criteria; those produced by mass production or machines are not handicraft goods.

Been as developing the skills and creative interests of students, generally and sometimes towards a particular craft or trade, handicrafts are often integrated into educational systems, both informally and formally. Majority crafts require the development of skill and the application of patience but can be learned by virtually anyone.

Like Art, handicraft output often has cultural and/or religious significance, and increasingly may have a political message as well, as in craftivism. Most crafts become very popular for brief periods of time (a few months, or a few years), spreading rapidly among the crafting population as everyone emulates the first examples, then their popularity wanes until a later resurgence.
Art requires patience,focus,creativity,etc.
An a lover of Art, handicraft figurines that cost my a fortune to acquire.

I don't buy mass produced handicraft,I go as far as purchasing it from Zambia, Kenya Egypt, etc.
Below is a hand made handicraft clock I bought from Zambia in 1992.
Everything from start to finish was handmade.

MARKET VALUE
In terms of market value, original handmade antiques are rare and very expensive,it's something you have to search, browse or even get an agent who can help you source it out and most times too makes the bargain and in turn adds his commission for doing a good business.
Will I someday put them up for sale?
Yes I will, but that will be only when I need to make up for the one I want to purchase.
Whenever I don't have space for it anymore,I will sell off a few.
Did I mention that I also purchase a rare porcelain plate,it really cost me,but please permit me not to show it for security reasons.
I also have a well handcrafted teddy-bear,this also cost a fortune, although I won't like to disclose the amount, like I said, for security reasons.

In all,Art is has a heart,it can stand the test of time, from decades to centuries.
Also Note that the older it gets, the more value it accumulates.
