My first coffee this Sunday came emotionally charged; after an intense and partly discouraged week, I went deep into nature to soothe the thoughts. It feels so good to embrace the bliss of a world far from trouble, where there are no worries about uncertain fate and hopelessness. I used my largest mug and overflowed it with the drink I consider an elixir. I strolled for a long time among the guava trees and overgrown grass. It was a necessary disconnect, as my mind was already saturated with so much news and back-and-forth that hung more on the system than on me. Then, I said to myself “cheers”, and savored the coffee that instantly brought a smile to my lips.
Living in a country where anxiety haunts you is like being trapped in a cage hanging over an erupting volcano. If you add to that the fact that you have to work twice as hard, and that money is disappearing fast from your pockets, everything becomes even more difficult. I am not a person who is entrenched in negativity, because I think that even in adversity we can find solutions and mend wounds. To achieve this, we need to understand where we are and where we are going, and most importantly: how to channel everything that happens to us. I like to isolate myself a little, and look for details that help me to reflect and heal. My unconditional support, in this sense, is coffee.
My day can be very bad, but if I drink a cup of coffee everything changes for the better. It is as if I were drinking a miraculous medicine, which repairs every void and every wound, until I find that part of me that helps me to move forward. Solutions rain faster with a simple cup of concentrated coffee. It's as if you suddenly feel complete and nothing disturbs you, even when there are literally a thousand daggers at your back.
Drinking coffee, while being closer to nature, is unparalleled. Seeking out quiet, pleasant places is often wonderful for that mind-body connection that allows us to think more clearly. Since I live in a rural town, it's easy to get into lungs of trees, away from the noisy chirping of the cities. The small piece of land I visited has been desolate for a long time, and it's very close to my house. Whenever I need to clear my thoughts, I go out to drink coffee and walk in the green surroundings. For this occasion, I wanted to portray this walk in my blog; it's good to keep the pleasant memories that only a good cup of hot coffee in the morning can give you.
On my walk, the idea of a vacation came to mind, but, rambling on the possibility, I thought of buying a thermos to take coffee with me; The place where I live is too small to be hiking and yet, I really enjoy the walk. I feel adventures can be better with coffee.
You can never be without coffee!
Do you consider coffee as more than just a drink?
The week was difficult for many reasons, but it ended in a very pleasant way. I had a long time without taking these walks, which although they are short, allow me to let off steam all the negative things and hold on to new and innovative ideas, not only at work, but also on a personal level. Coffee is part of my daily motivation and, although it sounds crazy, it helps me to stay on my feet. I love to drink it and feel the world a little more pleasant and satisfying. Not everything has to be bad or sad, much less when something encourages you to keep fighting.
Cheers with coffee, because struggles with coffee are more pleasant.
