Hello guys!
How's everyone doing? Hope you guys are having a wonderful day. For me it's time for a new Splinterlands Art again. This time I decided to draw Thanalorian Scion as my entry for this week. I'm testing the new textured brush on this one as well. So far so good I guess haha.
Thanalorian Scion
The process
- Drew a rough sketch using this reference from Pinterest.
- Made a clean lineart using penfade brush.
- Painted the base colours and rendered the eyes
- started working on the skin after I was done with the eyes.
- After that I stared painting the highlights and shades on the hair
- Toned the colours on the hair to create a contrast
- Painted the gem stone on her tiara and moved on to painting the gold plated on her armour.
- Added highlights on the armour
- Painted the magical inscriptions on her armour
- Started rendering her clothes and added glow on the magical inscriptions on her armour using airbrush on an add layer.
- Painted one more layer of darker shades on her clothes using airbrush on a multiply layer. At this point I layed down the basic shapes for her water based powers near her hands.
- Fully rendered the water and added glow on an add layer on top of it. Later on I added highlights on the water using dip pen for bright highlights. For the background I used the same image and distorted it and added blur on it.
