It made me laugh when I saw this sign and building name. It's called Belvedere. First, written in non-Latin letters it looks comical, doesn't it? I'm not sure that everyone knows what this word means, that you use it in a foreign country just like that. On the other hand, being written this way is probably the better option, as it is very common to see foreign language captions, even large advertisements, with spelling mistakes.
But I guess that happens everywhere, actually.
But now something else. Someone had said that after the floods in Valencia, he rethought the meaning of a house "with a nice view". Perhaps people will already avoid apartments or hotels with sea views, or avoid these very touristy places altogether. Because they are perhaps the most dangerous. Well, people from other congested destinations might be able to tell how dangerous these locations are - Bali, Maldives, Hawaii, etc. Are they?

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
