It's that time of year again. The time of falling leaves. But not just any leaves, but those of the monstrous Paulownia tree that I told you about before too. Do you remember? These are not just any leaves, but whole rags, blankets 😃(you can see them compared to the size of my hand) that fall from the tree and cover everything under them - tiles and grass. When they fall on the grass, they cover it and trap the moisture and cold from below, which can ruin the grass. And when they stay on the grass for several days in a row, they dry out and begin to crumble when you touch them, so picking them up and moving them becomes a very difficult task.
But I tackled it yesterday. As many as ten overstuffed buckets I collected, leaf by leaf, and carried them to the back of the garden. I think it was a good exercise, which I need, but it's very hard to do in the cold months when I don't want to go outside at all. Well, the weather was nice yesterday.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
