There were swallows in the backyard today before it started raining. This surprised me a lot because since the middle of last month people have been posting pictures of swallows gathering to fly south. I'm in a hurry to write this today because tomorrow will be late. Tomorrow they might be gone - everything is changing so fast and everything is so messed up this year - climate/seasons/weather.
So it's worth recording to keep track of it all. Will fall be late or early this year? Nobody knows, I guess, there's no indication of that yet. Or there are such, but they are very short-lived phenomena, also local, and nothing can be determined from them yet.
