Holy crap on a stick, I have been waiting for what feels like forever for our SPI merch to arrive. I put the order in on the 15th of last month and it was only shipped 3-4 days ago. There are postal strikes in the UK overpay so things are dead slow. I ordered something next day shipping last Tuesday and it arrived on Saturday and the only reason it arrived on Saturday was that the Queen passed away and the postal service temporarily called off the strike. I wanna start packing some SPI/HIVE merch packs together for those that own over 1000 SPI tokens. And also I wanna launch SPI Royalty Rewards and get the ball rolling.
What are SPI merch packs and why would i what 1?
SPI merch packs are as they sound, they are boxes filled with SPI and HIVE branded stuff. I have bought so far around 80% of the stuff that I need and i'll get the last of it ordered by the weekend. I have bought enough to make 25 SPI merch packs in total which I think is enough as currently there are 15 people that hold more than 1000 SPI tokens. Now because I have decided to make 25 packs I have can not spend a fortune on each pack so dont be expecting any clothing or anything. Im trying to keep the packs small to make shipping cheaper, lol. Worldwide shipping for 25 packs will cost the guts of $500.
I'll say there's a SPI mug in each pack and a bunch of smaller things like stickers, fridge magnets, pens, etc. Below is a mug I made for myself 2 years back, it was my favourite mug and I used it every day for my coffee until the wife broke it, I ordered another one as the design was saved and she broke that one as well. Both times the handles broke so i dont use that place anymore. Check out the SPI mug
Why?
Why the hell not? We have been on a roll for the past 3 years, we did ok from the bullrun, i mean things are down 60-80% from the peaks but SPI is still worth a hell of alot more than it was before the bull run started. We've been building assets all over, HBD balance near 5 figures, BTC sitting on a ledger, ETH and stables on metamask and EDS is representing 50% of our HIVE POWER holdings.
People will enjoy getting free stuff. Think how much time you spend on HIVE or doing HIVE-related things, for most of us that will be a lot. I dont know, there's something satisfying about drinking a fresh brew from a HIVE/SPI mug while writing or reading posts. I like that when I go to the fridge to get milk for my coffee, I see an SPI magnet. There's just something cool about having some merch that is very relatable to you.
Will it incentivize anyone to buy up SPI tokens? Probally not but it'll reward the ones that have stacked SPIs the hardest. I should also mention that there be digital rewards also for people that hold 500+ SPI tokens. NFTs, tokens airdrops, free lotto tickets and more. Like I said above, we've done ok the past 12-18 months and we can afford to do something like this, it's a 1 off, could turn into a yearly thing, we'll wait and see next year if our cashflow is as good, we might wanna be investing into crypto winter bargains instead of shipping out mugs and stickers.
I think this will be an excellent way to promote SPI to more eyes. Im fairly certain that by the time we issued out all 25 merch packs, there will be a few unboxing posts and maybe even a video or 2 which is excellent exposure. No other token project/tribe has done this before on HIVE and ship out free merch. I doubt it but maybe others will see this from SPI and follow suit. Maybe not give it away but try to sell it. Im fairly sure If someone were to do a group buy every 3-6 months for a mug or something, they would sell alot of them and they would sell even more if they numbered the mugs so people can collect the run and of course offer, custom mintage numbers on a first come first serve basis. Shit, I might even do that myself, that's a pretty good idea. Take 15% of the gross and Bobs your uncle, side hustle. Sidetracked, yea I think these merch packs will be a great way to promote SPI and is something to shill
and blow smoke about for a while.
When snapshot?
No snapshot, there are currently 15 people with enough to get the march packs and if someone whats to buy spend near $1700-1800 to get a merch pack worth $20-25, im ok with that.
When does Royalty Rewards launch?
Fingers crossed, start of October. I am still waiting for stuff to arrive, i need to buy some digital stuff, set up the lotto, write a rewards intro post to explain everything, and get a sexy new excel sheet to track it all. This will spawn into a new weekly post from me to give lotto results. Nothing wrong with another day worth of content rewards, we get massive upvotes from leo.voter and brofi so we should maybe take advantage of that as the price of HIVE declines and we can gather up more while it's cheap.
So still a few things to do but nothing I can't knock out in 10ish hours. 2 weeks' time would be nice.
Sheet, I can't even remember writing quarterly airdrops for all. Yes, I might need to revise that one, most have written this post at 3 am are something.

I plan to give 1 merch box away because "technically" @spinvest holds more than 1000 SPI so we can run a contest raffle are something and let Queens and Jacks have a chance. I have bought 25, 15 are allocated and im fairly certain, we'll not get 10 new people holding more than 1000 SPI within the next few months, so we might do random raffles to issue out the rest.
Royalty Rewards will also have ongoing rewards and perks. If EDS were to release a new token, Aces, Kings, Queens and Jacks would all have access to pre pre sales which will include small discount. You might think, that's not that great but if you can buy $1 for 95 cents, would you be happy? The lotto will be fun, it will be funded as is everything Royalty rewards related by non-HIVE earnings. This lotto will be hard to win but I will add funds to it weekly and lets it grow and build over time. When the prize pool climbs to 2000-3000 HIVE, we can sell tickets for 1 HIVE each and hope to recoup some funds. SPI Royalty will always get free tickets. Airdrops as well, to be honest, it'll be mostly SPinvest tokens, not so much SPI and maybe LBI, EDS, CUBlife or EDS miners. Could include other stuff like passing on HIVE airdrops, SPK would be a current example.

Looks like the package is notarriveing today either. It's almost 1pm and if its not out now, it might be tomorrow. Also, it's coming from Croatia which i never knew about until i received the tracking number. The website is priced in pounds sterling, not Euros and there was no mention of international shipping. Either way, its almost arrived.
