Great day @splinterlands community! How's your day? I wish all of us are enjoying with this another day. Today I'll show you how to draw a splinter (Alric Stormbringer) from water element. This card is one of the best splinters as its added 1 magic attack to all magic monsters. But what makes it more significant? Its low mana which is very helpful for novice players and its beta edition. Now let's start the tutorial!

The oldest ΛZMΛRÉan Summoner, Alric Stormbringer, founded the modern arts of Chaos Magic. He has many pupils from around the Splinterlands. Alric’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering.

The Process

All Steps in 6 Phases

Phase 1

The artwork starts with polished sketch to have elucidated outline and concrete result. It uses thick and thin lines to sustain dimension.

Phase 2

Secondly the hair and the skin of the character have been colored plainly. Selected colors are according to what the card shows.

Phase 3

Next step is the garment and the tools of the character as well as the other areas. The artwork is now vibrant. It gives a bright and captivating colors.

Phase 4

The next step is the application of shades and shadow just to have a sort of realistic cartoon. And to give life for an artwork.

Phase 5

As usual I have to make the background that fades gradually from the outside layer to the center. Dark color should be on the outside while light colors towards the center. That is the magic happened.

Phase 6

The final step is the integration of the main artwork from the canvas to the background. Then I've added magical powers to give a more intensifying, satisfying, and creative outcome.
