KARST HARPY
Good day @splinterlands community! How's your day? I hope everyone is celebrating with this hopeful day. Today I'll show you how to draw a range card (Karst Harpy) from light element. This card is one of the best cards because of its ability. But what makes it more essential? Its Rebellion edition! Let's start to draw the new card.
The Card Used as Inspiration and its Lore
Card
Lore
The Wild Northeast’s The Wild Northeast’s Sea of Karsts is a harsh, inhospitable landscape of limestone towers, unstable sinkholes, and alkaline waters. Few adventurers are willing to brave its deadly terrain, and those who do face dangers not only from the land itself, but also from the flora and fauna that dwell within it.
One such danger is the harpies of the Halara Venue. Fiercely territorial, they are known to rouse the colonies of giant bats that roost in the karst’s network of underground caves. Then, in the confusion of their flight, these harpies fling a hail of stone flechettes at intruders.
The Process
All Steps in 5 Phases
Phase 1
THE SKETCH. I used thin and thick lines to make the sketch by using the card as reference to sustain the design of the character.
Phase 2
THE BODY. I color the body by selecting the color between red and the other color that can lower the opacity or the lightness.
Phase 3
THE FINAL COLOR. After applying the color of the body. I immediately color the lower part of the character. Then apply the other intricate designs of the artwork. As well as the finest details that are needed to be done.
Phase 4
THE DESIGN. Since I already finished the character. I started to make the background design that could complement the first layer. I just use the eraser feature to have a faded effect. Then I also use black and yellow to sustain the vibrance.
Phase 5
THE FINAL. The first and last layer has been integrated. I can already see the beautiful and brave harpy! The result is creativity!
